Francesco Bergamaschi joins from Italy to talk about DAX: the language at the core of every Power BI model, and the one most people feel they half-understand at best.
We get into:
- why calculated columns are just a tool and not a sin,
- the one rule that fixes most DAX performance problems,
- how to use ALLSELECTED without getting burned
- why CALCULATE beats variables for beginners,
- why DAX is "honest" and how it compares to SQL,
- whether DAX still matters in the age of AI
...and Francesco's teaching method – the five pillars of DAX and the path from a simple column to the measure magic.

Daniel Marsh-Patrick joins from down under to talk about Deneb, the certified Power BI custom visual that turns Vega and Vega-Lite into a sandbox for almost any visual you can imagine.
We dig into declarative vs. imperative visualization, why Deneb is a side project he has been carrying for five years, what PBIR and the new JSON report format mean for visual developers, why Vega is unusually LLM-friendly, and where Deneb really shines: the engineering, environmental, and "non-business" charts that Power BI core visuals were never built for.

01:33 These: Für wen ist Microsoft Fabric?
06:05 Beispiel: Deployment Pipelines & fehlende Konsistenz
07:26 Arturs Gegenposition: Fabric für kleine, businessnahe Lösungen
08:27 Dataflows Gen1 vs. Gen2 & Orchestrierungsprobleme

We reveal the real reason why Fabric is winning tha data game!
A common misconception is that Fabric tries to compete directly with platforms like Snowflake or Databricks. Khaled disagrees with that view. He believes Fabric’s real competitor is something completely different.
Excel.
Not because Fabric replaces Excel, but because it integrates with it. Excel will likely remain the final mile of analytics in many organizations. But with tools like OneLake and connected datasets, Excel can become a window into a governed data platform rather than a disconnected spreadsheet universe.
We talked about Microsoft Fabric, consulting, business value, and why most data projects fail. And Khaled has a particularly interesting perspective on that topic – because he did not start in IT or data.
If you want to scale your business with Microsoft Fabric - this is for you!

- Top-down-Strategie vs. Bottom-up-Initiativen (Spoiler: Du brauchst beides)
Sondern anfangen.
00:00 Warum Digitalisierung nie aufhört – Einstieg & 3 Horizonte
04:22 Brownfield-Realität: Wo fängt man überhaupt an?
08:07 Zielbild statt Aktionismus – warum Strategie vor Tools kommt
11:36 Wer muss wirklich mit an den Tisch? (Und wer besser nicht)
15:00 Workshops richtig machen: Entscheidungen statt Snacks
16:35 Top-Down vs. Bottom-Up – braucht es beides?
22:04 Self-Service BI & Wildwuchs – Chaos oder Produktivität?
25:29 Copilot, Kosten & Report-Leichen – Enablement statt Lizenzfriedhof

Hier hängen an Daten reale Patientenschicksale.
