अनेक विश्वविक्रम तिच्या नावावर आहेत. पण आजही ती करते ते 'खेळ' म्हणून गृहित धरलं जात नाही. पद्मश्री पुरस्काराने तिला गौरवण्यात आलं, त्यालाही आता दशकभराचा कालावधी लोटला. तरीही अजूनही राजाश्रयासाठी आणि परवानग्यांसाठी तिला उंबरे झिजवावे लागतात. असं सगळं असलं तरी शीतल महाजनला तिच्या ध्येयापासून कोणीही परावृत्त करू शकलेलं नाही. गेली दोन दशकं विविध आव्हानं आणि अडथळ्यांवर मात करत स्कायडायव्हिंग क्षेत्रात तिने उत्तुंग भरारी घेतली आहे. स्कायडायव्हिंग क्षेत्रातली ही 'शीतल' फुंकर देशातल्या असंख्य युवा खेळाडूंसाठी प्रेरणास्थान ठरली आहे. डॉटर्स डे च्या निमित्ताने भेटूया आकाशाशी नाते जोडणाऱ्या लेकीला.
