The Olympics is about to kick off in the fashion capital of the world: Paris, France. What goes into the fashion design of the U.S. Olympic Uniforms? Mojdeh Sakaki, Program Manager at Salt Lake Community Fashion College joins the show to explain there's more to this decision than just red, white, and blue.

In a recent report, the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute at the University of Utah projected that the 2034 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games would generate $6.6 billion in economic output for Utah. Dave and Maura speak with the Director of the Policy Institute, Natalie Gouchner, about this report and what hosting another Olympic Games would mean economically for Utah.

 

Actor George Clooney, a high-profile Biden supporter and fundraiser, asks president to leave race, and he's not alone. There are now nine democratic lawmakers who have publicly voiced they want President to drop out of the race. In breaking news today, Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill announced a felony charge filed against Frank Demcy Mylar for an alleged bribe he offered while he was a candidate for Utah Attorney General. Apparently, on April 19, 2024, the defendant sent a text message to Trent Christensen, opponent in the race for AG, offering him a job at the Utah Attorney General’s Office if he endorsed Mr. Mylar. KSL Legal Analyst, Greg Skordas, joins Dave and Marty to break down what it means to be charged with bribery.

It's no secret that Utah is growing. Land is being developed in every corner of the state, especially from Provo up to Ogden.
