Russia's prison agency... releasing a statement saying imprisoned Putin critic Alexei Navalny has died at the age of 47. Prison officials... claiming that Navalny felt unwell after a walk and suddenly lost consciousness. Hena Doba, Anchor for the weekend edition of Morning in American on Newsnation discusses the latest.

Former President Trump's attorney has managed to take the focus off the 2020 election interference case in Georgia - and place it on the person prosecuting. Trump's legal team alleges the prosecutor Nathan Wade had an "improper relationship" with Fulton District Attorney Fani Willis - meaning the Trump team sees a conflict of interest.  Dave and Maura speak with KSL legal Analyst, Greg Skordas about why this is happening and what is at stake.

The Power District. A $3.5B investment by the Larry H. Miller Co.  They just released some renderings of the area and it is spectacular. Utah's 2024 Legislative session in moving forward in Utah. One item on the docket is an improved NIL (name, image and likeness) policy which is focused on college athletes disclosing how much they make in sponsorship opportunities.  Dave and Debbie speak with Host of Inside Sources, Boyd Matheson about what he knows about this proposal, Dave shares some examples of how much athletes currently could make.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox recently urged school leaders to support policies halting cellphone use during class time. A new poll in the Deseret News shows most Utahns agree as 69%. Dave and Debbie speak with Ben Horsley, Chief of Staff at the Granite School District about this issue in their schools and what they've done about phones in the classroom. Lawmakers back to the drawing board with their regulations over social media . They've already pushed back the start date six months for when social media companies had to start age verifying and getting parents' consent for minors to have social media accounts.  The state is winding up in legal fights with social media giants over this - Meta, Tik Tok -- and across the country judges are putting age verification laws on pause -- so lawmakers went back to the drawing board here. Dave and Debbie discuss changes being made with this legislation, including removing the age verification requirement and creating a specific account for minors instead. Senator Mike Mckell joins the show to discuss what those accounts will look like.
