This holiday travel season could be busiest yet for the US and storms may be brewing as well.

The University of Utah will be hosting the final presidential debate before election day in 2024. Dave and Debbie speak with Governor Spencer Cox on how the state of Utah made this happen. 

The housing market is squeezing out potential buyers...76% of Utah can't afford a median priced home according to Envision Utah.  but a potential band aid could come from a different kind of loan... Have you thought about a 40-year loan instead of a 30? Dave and Debbie discuss.

 Tough news for  more than 1,000 families in Salt Lake City ... their child's school is on the verge of being shut down. 7 schools could have been listed for potential closure, the Salt Lake City School district announced it's selected 4. Dave and Debbie discuss the potential closures and share feedback from listeners.

The growth of Utah County and the increased traffic on pioneer crossing has caused a debate on the best way to support the continuing growth in the area. A new freeway has been proposed that would potentially be built across Utah Lake, but what about public transportation? Dave and Debbie speak with Russ Fox -  Director of Planning with UTA about plans to help support the growth and traffic in the Utah County area. 

Black Friday is basically here and Dave and Debbie have some suggestions on what to avoid as impulsive and tempting deals show up for the holidays. 

Election Day is today. There's still time to fill out your ballot and get it turned in. It's an odd year election... Some call it a municipal or local election. You might be voting for your city mayor, the city council or some have a vote for Congressional District 2 to replace Chris Stewart's seat in congress. Dave and Debbie speak with Lt. Governor Diedre Henderson as well as Salt Lake County Clerk Lannie Chapman and Weber County Clerk Ricky Hatch about information on election day and turnout. 

Four SLC elementary schools made the list of schools facing an uncertain future. Parents have been waiting for months to hear which schools the district would zero in on for potential closure. The "Big Reveal" families learn it's Hawthorne, It's Riley, It's Bennion, It's Jackson. Dave and Debbie speak with Yandary Chatwin, Spokesperson with the Salt Lake City School District about this recommendation. Dave and Debbie also look into the anatomy of a school closure and what might come next with Ben Horsley, Chief of Staff for the Granite School District who has been through this process before.
