Many Utah Ski resorts have delayed their openings due to a lack of snow. Dave and Debbie speak with KSL Meteorologist Kevin Eubank about where the snow is and what is expected in the coming months. 

According to the Deseret News, a new legislative audit came with a bit of a warning that time is running short for Utah policymakers to take action on the housing crisis in Utah. Auditors concluded that Utah needs to build almost 28,000 housing units a year to keep up with the state's growth. Dave and Debbie discuss. 

The US House of Representative's passed a temporary funding bill that would avert a government shutdown. Dave and Debbie speak with Representative Blake Moore about the vote and also discuss his new role in congress as vice chair of the Republican Conference. 

Women are dominating college campuses right now. If you're a woman, you're much more likely to get a college degree. 57% of degrees are going to women... compared to 42% for men. The University of Utah  has shown men have a higher enrollment in the past, now it is very close to 50/50 while other Utah schools show women leading the numbers significantly. Dave and Debbie speak with Rebecca Walsh, Communications Director for the University of Utah about what they are doing to bring men and women to college. 

Gen Z workers -- these are our kids who are in their 20s -- make up about 13% of the workforce and while stats are behind a couple years -- they earn on average just under 35k a year...the holiday season will be an anxious time for them-- high rent prices, and inflation means that parents we need to have a heart to heart with them about not feeling pressured to overspend. Dave and Debbie speak with KSL Newsradio Producer Caitlyn Johnston about how she manages gift expectations during the holidays.

It’s well known that women have generally outlived men for at least a century. But the size of the gap in life expectancy at birth is the biggest it’s been since 1996. (JAMA-internal medicine) rose to 5.8 years in 2021 an increase from 4.8 years in 2010. Lois Collins, Reporter with the Deseret News joins the show to share more on why this may be happening.
