Scammers are getting bolder each day. Dave and Debbie share some of their experiences with scammers and whether or not they were able to get away as they discuss new data on scamming and financial fraud from Bankrate. They discuss some of the new tactics scammers are using to get your money and information and listeners chime in with their experiences.

It's the newest public health crisis: loneliness. Sen. Brady Brammer joins Dave and Debbie to discuss some of the struggles that Americans are feeling when it comes to loneliness and the resolution he's put forward to establish a Utah Community Health Day on the last Saturday of April. Dave and Debbie take calls from listeners to get their opinions.

 

Following a tense visit from Ukraine's president Volodomyr Zelenskyy to the White House that resulted in an explosive meeting with President Trump, where does the relationship between the US and Ukraine go from here?  Ryan Vogel, Director for Center of National Security Studies at UVU, joins the show to explain some of the ways both sides can close the gap and fix the relationship.

A proposal taking aim at what flags can be flown in schools and in government building is causing all kinds of conversations as it moved through the legislature. Dave and Debbie break down the reactions from different groups across the state. Representative Trevor Lee joins the show to talk about the bill and some of the changes that could be made.

House Bill 568 would require schools to offer a half day kindergarten class. Dave and Debbie discuss whether half day or full day kindergarten the move for Utah families. Holly Richardson, Editor with Utah Policy, joins the show to explain what this proposal would do. Listeners chime in with their input on full day and half day kindergarten.. As the show progressed, we learned the proposal is now going to be put on hold for this session and will be further researched for the next session. 

A member of Congress took the floor with her newborn after not being allowed to vote remotely shortly after giving birth. Dave and Debbie speak with Jim Curry, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Utah, about whether or not members of Congress should be able to vote remotely.

"I think the first major downfall or complication from what I've seen of DOGE right now, we don't need to be vilifying federal workers." That's what Utah Congressman Blake Moore has said about the federal firings. Rep. Blake Moore joins the show to discuss concerns he has about DOGE cuts and what he knows about the impact to Hill Air Force Base.

A federal judge ordering the mass emails that went out to probationary workers be "rescinded".  It doesn't mean these employees get their jobs back, at least not at this point. Dave and Debbie discuss.

Utah state officials announced that a $1,400 salary increase will be coming to teachers. Dave and Debbie speak with KSL Newsradio Producer Andy Cupp about this pay increase.
