There’s a severe blood shortage and the American Red Cross is looking for help. They’re looking for donations and in Salt Lake they’re offering a $5-dollar Amazon gift card as a thank you.

Debbie is bummed out- she picked the wrong time to buy a bicycle. Her 1991 model mountain bike rusted over. She decided to buy one that looks a little like the one from the Wizard of Oz! There’s two problems: a shortage & she doesn't have thousands to spare!

Provo kid lights an illegal firework, faces $4,000 fines & fees for burning ½ acre of land. The minor has been referred on charges of: discharging fireworks outside of the open fireworks window, and discharging fireworks in a Discharge Restricted Area.

Salt Lake city has banned setting them off -- Midvale, Holladay, CWH, Eagle Mountain -- can't light them.

In a major First Amendment case on student speech, the Supreme Court ruled 8-1 in favor of a former high school student who was disciplined by her public school in PN. She'd sent a vulgar rant to about 250 followers on Snapchat and the school caught wind and was tossed from the JV cheer squad.

Dixie State University Name Recommendation Committee voted on June 14 to recommend the name Utah Polytechnic State University to the university's board of trustees. An online petition to consider a different name has already gathered more than 15 thousand signatures.
