A new Consumer Reports Analysis found the gap between what's advertised by cable companies and what you pay might be bigger than you think. The cable industry makes nearly $450 per customer a year from "company-imposed fees" according to that report. The industry could be generating $28 billion annually from those fees.

A 21-year-old was arrested in Florida for oversleeping through first day of jury duty. His punishment: 10 days in jail, 1 yr probation & a 10 min talk once a week to perspective jurors.

Police are on the lookout for a couple of bandits who swept through neighborhoods stealing mail from mail boxes. Folks woke up to mailboxes wide open, advertisements flying all over the streets. Neighbors think this pair may have hit as many as 300 homes in Salt Lake County over the weekend.

Vape shops catch a break! There was an emergency rule to deal with the vape crisis set to take affect today. The health department delayed it two weeks to give vape shops time to comply. It'll require vape shops to post warning signs about the dangers of vaping and force grocery and convenience stores to stop selling flavored vape juices. A pair of Utah lawmakers want to make that rule permanent.

A Senate Republican taking heat all weekend long from President Trump. Sen. Mitt Romney on Friday called Trump's public call for Ukraine and China to investigate the Bidens "wrong and appalling." By the weekend Trump couldn't let it go and went on a Twitter rampage call insulting Sen. Romney. Meanwhile, we've learned of a second whistleblower, this one reportedly with first-hand knowledge.

August 2017: 447 burglaries, theft and assaults -- on the west side of downtown. Almost half that many September of 2019.

Ten years in prison and eligible for parole in 5 -- that's the sentence handed down to former Dallas Cop Amber Guyger by a jury during the sentencing phase of her murder trial.
