  • Hive Music Festival - Week N°41 - Round 2 [ENG-ESP]. Bass Cover of Count your blessings
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=dave-estates/mofhmluz
What's good friends and neighbors.. Hope you are doing well today. I've been absent from activities in the community for some weeks now. Reason being that my mini practice combo which aids in the amplification of the sound from my bass had some issues… The sound I.C died too soon, so I had to fix a new sound I.C for a better sound. It's all good now.
At my leisure today, I sat to reminisce on God's blessings in my life this year. Believe me, I tried counting the blessings and I lost count on the way.
This year has been a groundbreaking year for many people. And also has been a very rough year for many people. But in all, as long as we can still breathe, it is still a blessing, that's a blessing underrated a lot by people. It is not until manner falls from heaven and drop beside our sleeping head so that we just need to wake and take it and eat before we see life as a blessing. Seeing a new day is infact one of the greatest blessings.
I got inspired by a song by Spyro ft. Dj Neptune, the song is titled "Count your blessings". Spyro who is a Nigerian artist became popular after he released his single "Who is your guy" which featured Tiwa Savage. The single was a hit. I can recall a lot of TikTokers using the "who is your guy" as their background music when creating their contents. Perhaps someday, I would do a bass cover of it. But for this week, please get your headphones and listen to the Bass cover of "Count your blessings".
    Thanks for having me.

  • Hive Open Mic Week 172, "Family". Bass Cover of So Good
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=dave-estates/awpzvkrt
Hello friends and neighbors of the hive open mic family, it is my pleasure to be here this week.
Reacting to this week's theme which was given by the community's recent spotlight artist, @edwardstobia, the theme being "Family", I did a bass cover of a song titled "So Good" by DOE.
DOE, also known as Dominique Jone is a gospel artist whose music has really been a blessing to many, leaving a lasting impact on some people because of her authenticity. She released "So Good" last year, one of the songs in her clarity album.
I got inspired to cover this song because I love the words in the first verse of the song where she expressed the goodness of God in her life and her family. She expressed how this goodness surrounds her family with comfort, gives her joy in her suffering and a tailored love that knows no bound.
It is very okay to build or belong to a family outside of the biological sphere but it is imperative to have those families stand on Godly principle. This will have God's goodness rubbed on the concerned families.
It is my sincere prayer that God's goodness rubs on our families that we may find peace and happiness in all endeavors.
For this bass cover, I would recommend the use of headphones for better clarity of the bass. Also, [this link](https://genius.com/Doe-so-good-lyrics) will help you find the lyrics of this song should you want to sing along
    Thank you for having me

  • Hive Open Mic Week 169, "War". Bass Cover of Poverty Die by@dave-estates. [ENG/ESP]
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=dave-estates/thxanyed
Poverty is an ill omen combated with by different countries of the world. Any country where the rate of poverty is considerably or very high, most times records a high number of death trolls and sometimes, a high level of crime rate. This is why the major concern of most developed countries is the war against poverty.
Sincere thanks to @jasperdick for giving us a theme worth relating with real live scenarios.
I listened to an old song by Olamide, a talented Nigerian artist titled "poverty die" and I enjoyed the vibes from the song so well and was able to relate it with the theme for the week which is War. I think the "poverty die" should be an affirmative statement people should be making daily because poverty isn't a good and war against it shouldn't be a light one.
The style of bass lines I used for this song is known in Nigeria as Ariara. I think this is my first time doing a bass cover of a song like this for an international community on Hive. So I hope that this sounds cool to you my honorable listener and it gets you dancing. But as I'll always recommend, using a headset will be pretty nice and infact, it'll make you dance to this song unintentionally or intentionally.
I have attached the lyrics of the song below should you want to have a look, even though some words in it are in Yoruba language.

  • Hive Music Festival - Week N°36 - Round 3 [ENG-ESP]. Bass Cover of Ojapiano
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=dave-estates/ghinfatb
It's been a while here my honorable friends. I embarked on a certain endeavor and that has affected my constancy in the Hive Blockchain.. I'm no longer as frequent as I used to be. But it's a thing of joy that exceptional and talented musicians here are still unleashing beautiful tunes weekly…
It is an honour to participate in the Hive Music Festival week 36 round 3..
There are various subgenre house music of which I decided to do a bass cover of one of them by a Nigerian artist by stage name Kcee. This music is titled Ojapiano. This song, since it was released, car owners over here love playing it whenever they are handling the steering. One of the things that made the song really stand out is the local flute that was incorporated in the song.
The love people have for the song over here is just massive. First time I heard the song, twas lit and thought of what bass line I could introduce to the song. I tried the first day, I played several bass lines, but I couldn't get what I really needed. I retired for that day and tried again the next day. I still didn't get a nice groove for the song. I kept trying different grooves until I opted for the one in this video.
I'm always pleased to share some African tunes to international communities here on hive. The beauty of music knows no bounds because where language seems to be a barrier, melody is always there to rent down that barrier. The Spanish music I listen to, especially in this community, keeps making me appreciate international music more and more.
It'll therefore make a lot of sense if you make use of headphones to listen to this presentation because it'll give a very nice clarity of the bass.

"Otaku", short of animation, being the theme for the week makes so much sense to me. We all need this vigour that will help us keep moving regardless of the tussles. Shout out to @eudarcabello for this beautiful theme.. I don't know if this relates to another person here but the themes I see here are always a drive for me, not just virtually, but in real life endeavors too.

To incorporate the theme into music, I did a bass cover of a song by Moses Bliss, titled You I Live For. This song is just full of life and I find it apt for the theme of the week. It really is an amazing song if you ask me and I trust you to find it amazing too.

  • Hive Open Mic Week 165, In love With Nature And Mother Earth. Bass Cover of Rush. [English/Spanish]
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=dave-estates/ljqkmwdv
Hello friends, good evening and happy weekend from my end.
The healing and refreshment nature blesses us with is just exceptional. During my high school days, my geography teacher, who loved telling us inspiring stories about nature one day came to the classroom and as he was about to start teaching, he said to us, "wondering how I am always able to tell stories, even though they're fictions, I present them and they sounds so real and true? We all echoed no. He smiled and said to us, I communicate with the trees and leaves. They give me inspiration for stories to tell".
We were amazed and we wondered how that could be possible.
This theme by @wizj, *In love with nature and mother earth* reminded me of my geography teacher. He was so in love with nature because of the beauty nature gives humanity through mother earth.
He made us begin to appreciate the habit of planting trees and flowers, and nurturing them to grow so we could, in our leisure, go sit under the trees in the future. In his words, he will say, "nothing beats nature in beauty"... Nature is the beauty of the world.
I did a bass cover of a song titled "Rush" by Ayr Starr. Whenever I take a walk to appreciate the beauty of nature, with my earphones in my ears, this song has always been one of the first songs to play from my playlist, and I love it so well.

  • Afritunes Week 65... Bass Cover of "I Celebrate", Originally Sung by Waconzy
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=dave-estates/szqggqxa
Hello friends… Good morning from my end, hope you're holding up pretty well. And I believe the few days of this new month have been going smoothly, if it hasn't, then don't let your guard down, the forte will soon come your way, and when it does, grisp it.
Ever been told to sacrifice something for something better, perhaps, been told to endure pain for a while, that joy is coming?
You see, the thing is, most times, this joy seems not to come and we as humans, we are always very swift in adjusting to numb the pains of that situation. It is a good thing actually, a very good thing. This is because most selfless sacrifices for a particular thing to happen sometimes result in a forever wait. Then the saying, "*when the going gets tough, the tough gets going*" seem to be the encouraging words to not give up.
Since it is not too good a thing to wallow in self pity and keep hoping for the best, we can always live the moment and make the best of it. This is the true spirit of resilience. And at the end of the day, we will have reasons to celebrate ourselves for not giving up. Hence, I decided to do a bass cover of this song,*"I Celebrate*" by Waconzy.
I woke up on Tuesday morning to the tunes of this song from my neighbor's room. I don't know why but the song kept making more sense to me. Though I don't understand the full lyrics of the song, the melody of the song wouldn't let me let the song slide without downloading it and doing a bass cover of it. So please do well to have your headphones on for better clarity of the bass.
    Thanks for having me

  • Hive Music Festival - Week N°31- Round 1. Bass Cover of Marvin Gaye [ENG-ESP].
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=dave-estates/fnjkwsro
Hello Hivians, trust everyone in the community is doing well. Feels so good that the hive music festival has already run to week 31. Really thank everyone who started this competition from day one and still stuck around till the current week. I respect and appreciate their efforts and commitment.
Earlier this week, Tuesday to be precise, I woke up to the sound of Charlie Puth's songs from the radio station. His style of music feels so special and I couldn't help but head on to Boomplay and download his album. I kept playing the song over and over again and I didn't feel bored listening to the songs. He speaks some reality in his songs and that made me fall more in love with his music. I opted to do a bass cover of most or all of his songs but I got so engaged this week. I decided to score the songs this weekend but I still didn't have a chance to touch my bass. Even though I know for sure that some of the songs have some technicalities, I will sit my ass down and make the best of my time with the songs.
I Did a lil research about Charlie and I learnt he started dedicating his time for music at a very tender age of about 4 years. He started learning how to play the piano back then. Was also wondering how he's always able to flow very professionally in jazz music. I learnt from my research that he majored in jazz piano while in music school. I'm sure if I can dedicate some time and score one of his albums, it will give me more insight into jazz music and will augment my music morale.
For this week's contest, I chose a song by Charlie titled Marvin Gaye. There are exceptional feelings that song gave me. Both the vocals and the instrumentals, they're just mind-blowing. So please make use of headphones and listen for clarity of the bass. Thank you.
Gracias.
    Lyrics
Let's Marvin Gaye and get it on
You got the healing that I want
Just like they say it in the song
Until the dawn, let's Marvin Gaye and get it on
We got this king size to ourselves
Don't have to share with no one else
Don't keep your secrets to yourself
It's Kama Sutra show and tell (yeah)
    Whoa
    There's loving in your eyes
    That pulls me closer
    (Ooh, it pulls me closer)
    It's so subtle
    (It's so subtle)
    I'm in trouble
    (I'm in trouble)
But I'd love to be in trouble with you
Let's Marvin Gaye and get it on
You got the healing that I want
Just like they say it in the song
Until the dawn, let's Marvin Gaye and get it on
You got to give it up to me
    I'm screaming mercy, mercy please
Just like they say it in the song
Until the dawn, let's Marvin Gaye and get it on
    [Meghan Trainor:]
And when you leave me all alone
    I'm like a stray without a home
    I'm like a dog without a bone
I just want you for my own
I got to have you, babe
    Whoa
    There's loving in your eyes
    That pulls me closer
    (Ooh, it pulls me closer)
    It's so subtle
    (It's so subtle)
    I'm in trouble
    (I'm in trouble)
But I'd rather be in trouble with you
Let's Marvin Gaye and get it on
Ooh, baby, I got that healing that you want, yeah
Like they say it in the songs
Until the dawn, let's Marvin Gaye and get it on
Let's Marvin Gaye and get it on
You got the healing that I want
Just like they say it in the song
Until the dawn, let's Marvin Gaye and get it on, babe
You got to give it up to me
    I'm screaming mercy, mercy please
Just like they say it in the song
Until the dawn, let's Marvin Gaye and get it on
Just like they say it in a song
Until the dawn, let's Marvin Gaye and get it on

Many times, people endure so many pains in silence, feeling that sharing what they're going through with people is not a good idea. This silent pain has sent so many young people to the land of the unknown.
Thanks to @maryjacy for giving us a theme that links directly with our cares. The theme is so refreshing.
Had a friend who was slowly dying in silence, refused saying a thing to anyone, was feeling he'll be okay on his own. But he forgot that sharing bad moments with close friends is a big flex. It will already halve and okay some considerable percentage of the problem. Being okay entails sharing what is bothering you with some close people. You don't know where your help will come from. Though a lot of people ain't worth entrusting confidential matters with. But there are still trusted friends.
The crux of this message is that being okay most times is hard to achieve by oneself. Having people who have your interest at heart is such a great gift. There are people that, just knowing them can okay many things by default for you.
So I brought this song *"believe me"* by Johnny Drille to tingle your ears. Believe me you will be okay when you stop isolating yourself and start having people you share what's bothering you with. Believe me, life's good when you are okay and I wish above all things that you will be okay regardless of the hurdles you have having on your way. All will be well regardless.
But to have a great feel of the bass, the aid of earphones will suffice.
    Below are the lyrics of the song referential purpose;

The Nigerian music industry stands out very unique amongst all other music industries of the world. This is because her artists dedicate so much energy in not just making the music, but also promoting it. The afro music in Nigeria has engraved the country's image on the world's tablet. That's why Nigerian artists always have their shows sold out anywhere in the world.
Recently, one of Nigeria's finest artists, Rema left most people in awe when he sold out his show in India. Taking afro pop to India was really a big flex for Nigeria as a whole because a thing of such hasn't been boldly recorded in the Nigeria afro pop history. He said it five years ago, and he did it a few days ago.
Davido, another unique artist, dropped his new Timeless album two months ago. His music trended and is still trending. The love most people have for the songs in the timeless album just bursts the roof.
Music is one of the things that has kept the head of Nigeria really high. I'm not just talking about secular music alone but also gospel music. I don't think it's just talent these artists have. They also have grace. Their hardwork in making music has always given them good results.
From Davido's timeless album, I did a bass cover of Over Dem. I think this was Davido saying, despite how tough life might seem, I am tougher, no matter how hard life might feel, I'm harder. The song has different meanings to different people, even the melody strikes differently. I personally love the songs in the album because me sef, I be David for life.
The [link here](https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/davido/overdem.html) has the lyrics of the song should you want to check it out.
    Thanks for having me.
