Dave Krupa had just ended a 12 year relationship with the mother of his 2 children. But, even though, he was not great at relationships, he was still a good father. So, when his ex, Amy moved States, Dave moved too. When he finally got settled, he had a job, he had an apartment, and he was seeing his children 3 days a week, he decided now that he was ready to dip his toe back into the dating pool. Dave made himself a profile on Plenty Of Fish, and almost instantly, started speaking with a woman named Liz. Dave explained to Liz that he was freshly out of a long term relationship, and was only interested in casual dating, and nothing exclusive. Dave told Liz to date other people, while they talked, because he sure would be.. And, that is just what he did. One day while working, a beautiful girl came in. Dave worked in auto repair, and she was having issues with her vehicle. He would have loved to get her number, but found it in appropriate to ask while he was working. After, a couple more chance encounters, he decided that she probably was feeling that spark too, and decided it would be ok to ask her out. He did, and the two went to Applebees. The chemistry was undeniable. But, what was also undeniable, was that Liz was blowing up his phone.

After, the two woman met in a very uncomfortable way. Dave harshly explained to Liz, that he had explained to her what his intentions were, and if she did not like it then she needed to get lost. And, that was seemingly what she did.

He and Carrie (the Applebee's woman) absolutely, hit it off, and though they were both on the same page, they unintentionally ended up spending 10 out of the next 13 days together, until one morning, while at work, Dave received a strange text from Carrie, saying that she wanted to move in together. Confused, Dave messaged back and told her that was not going to happen. What would follow would turn into 4 years of harassment, threats (including death threats to children), severe vandalism, burnt down homes, Dave would live in a prison for 4 years.
