  • Softy and Dick H3 - Marcus Trufant talks Dawgs and Hawks / Fun with Audio: Feet and cats / Vikings voice Paul Allen / Mike Hopkins
It's a jam-packed final hour of the week as Softy and Terry talk with Marcus Trufant about his influence on the LOB, his thoughts on the Hawks secondary, and more. It's an unsettling edition of Fun with Audio with Rex Ryan and Antonio Brown both talking feet, plus Todd Gurley gets a cat, and Stephen A. Smith isn't high on the Browns. Voice of the Vikings Paul Allen talks Minnesota football with Softy ahead of Sunday's game. Mike Hopkins is in Italy with the Husky basketball team. He discusses the changes to the team heading into the 2019-2020 season.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Gas filling in / PFF ranks Eason 5th in the Pac-12? / Eason and Metcalf hype trains / Mariners apathy
Dick is out just a few more days. Today, Mike Gastineau sits in with Softy after last night's Rolling Stones show. Pro Football Focus has expanded their reach, now looking at college football, and they've ranked Jacob Eason as the fifth best quarterback in the Pac-12, 36th in the country. It's gotten a lot of Dawg fans upset, but these rankings don't mean much, and he's got plenty of time to prove them wrong. It's an interesting time in Seattle as we hype up two players we haven't even seen yet; Jacob Eason for the Dawgs, and D. K. Metcalf for the Hawks. The difference is, Eason will be under the spotlight constantly as he'll be taking every snap for the Dawgs most likely. Metcalf will be able to fade into the background a little easier if he doesn't meet expectations. Is Mariners apathy at an all-time low? No one is talking about this team right now. They're arguably performing even worse than expected, and the slight glimmer of hope to start the season only raised expectations. On the other hand, the future is coming. We can see what they've got planned by looking at the minor leagues, and for some, that might be what's keeping hope alive.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Hopkins: Greatness written all over him / Duff McKagan on the Stones, music industry, & Seattle sports / Textimonials
The Husky basketball team are over in Italy playing a few games. We've been talking a lot about hype on the show today, and Mike Hopkins and that team are another example of a team in this town with a ton of hype around it. It's absolutely amazing how far things have come since he took over just a couple of seasons ago. The Rolling Stones played a show last night in Seattle. To talk about the show with Gas is Duff McKagan, with his own Stones stories, plus thoughts on the music industry, and takes on the Mariners and Seahawks. It's an Ask Gas edition of Textimonials at 49451.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - What would you do for an M's World Series? / Bruce Feldman on college football / What annoys Softy / Tony Castricone
What would you do for a Mariners World Series. Would Softy guarantee he wouldn't talk for a year if it got the Mariners a Series? Could he even come close to not talking for a year? Bruce Feldman explains why he's got the Dawgs winning the Pac-12 North, plus other thoughts from around college football. Softy is bothered by the multiple personalities of Russell Wilson. It feels like Russ isn't really being himself, but at this point, maybe we really are just seeing the real Russ. This leads into a conversation about the Super Bowl in Arizona, and the much larger annoyance of Softy's. We round out the show with a chat with the voice of the Dawgs, Tony Castricone.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Jerry Brewer is back! He's co-hosting with Softy, discussing everything that's happened while he's been gone
Four years ago Jerry Brewer left to go work for The Washington Post. He's now a national writer, and the Post told him he could live wherever he wanted, so he's come back to Seattle. Today, he co-hosts with Softy while Dick Fain continues his trip around the world, discussing everything that happened while he was in the other Washington, including the rise of Washington football under Coach Petersen, the overhaul of the Hawks, the current state of the Pac-12, and more.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - New hockey team, and hope for another NBA franchise / Christian Caple on the Dawgs / Textimonials: Ask Jerry
We've talked a lot about what's happened in the last four years; now what's going to happen next? The NHL is coming to Seattle in just a little over two years, and despite the angery from some NBA fans, this is a good thing. When though, can we expect to get that elusive basketball team back? Will it be through expansion or relocation? Christian Caple joins the show to talk all things Dawgs. There's technically still a question about who will start at quarterback but it is most likely to be Eason. What will he bring to the team? It's an Ask Jerry edition of Textimonials with questions coming in at 49451.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Seahawks: What to watch for / Grant Cohn on the Niners / Ownership: We've got it good / Jackson Felts on the Sounders
Softy and Jerry Brewer talk Seahawk football as we wait to see Russell Wilson for the first time this Sunday. Are the 49ers going to be much improved this year? We get the opinion of Grant Cohn from the Press Democrat. If you've ever for a second thought negatively of Seahawks ownership, listen to Jerry Brewer describe how the Redskins operate. We're lucky here in Seattle. The Sounders take on Real Salt Lake tonight. Before the match, we check in with Jackson Felts.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Slickhawk co-hosting / Ask Russ to be better / Tyler Lockett / Ol' Crimson's run may end
As we continue through the Week with No Dick Part 2, we're joined by Slickhawk fresh from his nap. Slick maintains that if we're going to pay Russell Wilson as much money as he's getting, we need to be utilizing him more by throwing the ball. Maybe we just need him to be better at what he already does. Softy checks in with wide receiver Tyler Lockett. What's different now vs. the 2015 rookie season? The run at Ol' Crimson at College Gameday may come to an end thanks to Disney's rules against flags.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Brian Schottenheimer on the evolution of the offense / Jon Wilner talks all things Pac-12 football / Textimonials
Brian Schottenheimer spoke a little bit today about the new Seahawks offense; getting bigger at receiver, and how we might see Carson used. Jon Wilner's released his pre-season AP Poll and he's got Utah ranked sixth. If they're going to get that much credit for playing a weaker schedule, why should they even bother playing a tough non-conference schedule? Textimonials weigh in on the first two hours of the show at 49451.
