  • Softy and Dick H3 - Mets manager vs. reporter / Sam Gold: Wilson better than Luck / Browning's positive mark / Manager Meltdowns
Mets manager Mickey Callaway and former M's pitcher Jason Vargas got into it with a reporter recently, apparently unhappy with what had been written about them. The media's job is to react to what's happening with the organization. If you don't like what's being written, change your approach. Sam Gold of The Athletic made a 22-minute video explaining why Russell Wilson is better than Andrew Luck. He explains what brought him to this conclusion, plus other Seahawks thoughts for the 2019 season. Softy says every quarterback that comes to Washington leaves a positive mark on this team, and Browning's is winning at least ten games each season. Dick gives much of that credit to the defense, and argues that Browning was below average in terms of Husky quarterbacks. In honor of the Mickey Callaway story, we found some of the best manager meltdowns in history, because who doesn't love hearing Lou Piniella lose it?

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Matisse Thybulle and Jaylen Nowell drafted / What do we expect from Eason? / Servais: Love him or hate him?
Matisse Thybulle and Jaylen Nowell are making their way to the NBA after both were picked last night in the NBA Draft. Thybulle was taken 20th by Boston, but is head to the Sixers, and Nowell was picked 43rd, in the second round, by Minnesota. We'v etlaked about it a little over the last few days, but what do we realistically expect from Jacob Eason this year? I think most would like to see him win a game for Washington if he had to, but the team is good enough that he probably won't be in that position much. The bigger question is, is he here for one year, or two? Yeah, the M's are obviously not great this year. We've come to accept that, but what we need to see now is improvement. Will we see guys control the zone better than they are now, for example? Is Servais the right guy to lead this team?

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Who will be here after the rebuild? / Bill Krueger on all things Mariners / Textimonials: Curse of the Moose
The M's are undergoing a rebuild, and a lot of the guys who will make up the future of this team are supposedly still in the minors, but is there anyone on the major league club that you feel confident will be a major part of this team the next time it is ready to compete? Maybe Domingo Santana, although his defense leaves a lot ot be desired. Haniger possibly, but he's really only had one outstanding season. Bill Krueger helps us navigate the choppy waters around this 2019 baseball season courtesy of Venue Kings. On Textimonials, maybe we're looking at this all wrong. Maybe the Moose is what's cursed this baseball team.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - NBA Draft coverage: Really embarrassing / Fun with Audio / Mike Hopkins on Thybulle and Nowell / Pre-Game Show
It was great to see a couple of Dawgs drafted last night obviously, but the coverage itself on ESPN was embarrassing; confusing, missing a lot of big names. It seemed like they weren't even trying. It's nowhere near the level of coverage they put out for the NFL Draft. We find the best sound bytes from around the world of sports and play them back on Fun with Audio. Husky basketball coach Mike Hopkins talks about Matisse Thybulle and Jaylen Nowell after they were both selected in the NBA Draft. It's game 2 of the M's and O's at T-Mobile Park. We set the lineups and hear from the skipper on Baseball's Best Pre-Game Show courtesy of AgriShop Ace Hardware.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - What do we expect of Jacob Eason? / Husky legend Mark Bruener / Rays: Two-town team?
We're getting closer and closer to football season, and today, we decide to spend some time looking ahead to the Dawgs' 2019 season, We're finally about to see what Jacob Eason will bring to the table, but what are our expectations. The rest of the offense should be strong, so even if he doesn't live up to the hype, the team should be okay, but will he live up to the hype? Legendary Husky tight end Mark Bruener shares memories of the 1991 season and 1992 Rose Bowl, plus thoughts on the current team, specifically the tight ends, and his son receiving an offer from Washington. The Rays are reportedly looking into splitting their future seasons with Montreal. How can this possibly be a good idea? There are so many things about this that make absolutely no sense.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Quarterback recruiting and development / Chris Fetters on UW recruiting / Textimonials
Chris Petersen recruits differently than a lot of other college coaches out there, going after guys that he really believes are the perfect fit for the team, whereas some other coaches offer hundreds and hundreds of guys each year. It's a strategy that likely explains why Jacob Eason wasn't originally offered here. It's hard to question a coach's methods when he's had so much success with them, but it would be nice to see quarterback development catch up with that of other positions. Petersen after all has never had a drafted QB on his teams. Joining us to talk all things Washington recruiting, from Dawgman.com, is Chris Fetters. Textimonials react to the first two hours of the show on the Heritage Distilling text line at 49451.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Storm coach Dan Hughes / Anthony Herron on Pac-12 football / Update on the Draft / Pre-Game Show
Dan Hughes is back and ready to take over coaching duties for the Storm once again. He joins us to talk about the team's 2019 season, and his fight against cancer. Anthony Herron covers all things Pac-12 football. With so much attrition, will the Dawgs defense be able ot perform at the same levil? The NBA Draft is underway. We update you on the latest. It's another edition of Baseball's Best Pre-Game Show courtesy of AgriShop Ace Hardware. We could make this segment more interesting if instead of Scott Servais, we ran old clips of Lou Piniella responding to questions in place of Scott Servais.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - What Husky football is supposed to be / Jon Wilner on all things Pac-12 / Textimonials
We've seen some tough times as Dawg fans, specifically the 2008 0-12 season which never should have happened. The team recovered quickly though, and thanks to players like Myles Gaskin, we've been reminded of what Husky football is, and should be. Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News discusses all things Pac-12 including Myles Gaskin's place among the greatest Pac-12 running backs of all time, plus the potential media rights deal, the ...interesting list of top coaches, and more. Textimonials weigh in on the first two hours of the show at 49451.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Brian Schmetzer on the status of Will Bruin and more / Fun with Audio: OJ Simpson getting even / Pre-Game Show
Will Bruin was injured in practice today. We get the latest from Sounders head coach Brian Schmetzer. OJ Simpson has entered the world of Twitter, and he's vowed to get even, which doesn't come off threatening at all... That and more on Fun with Audio. On Baseball's Best Pre-Gam eShow sponsored by AgriShop Ace Hardware, we set the lineups and hear from Scott Servais. Last night, we saw an example of a player bunting against the shift and getting an easy double. Let's see Kyle Seager do that now please.
