  • Softy and Dick H3 - Legal sports betting coming to Washington ...maybe / Tuesdays with Dave Tippett / Rick Neuheisel on the AAF
A bill has been put forward in the Washington State legislature that would allow for legal sports betting in casinos. Finally some progress. Just get it done. Frankly, whether they legalize it, or don't, just like marijuana, people are going to do it anyway. Dave Tippett, senior adviser at NHL Seattle joins us an hour earlier than usual for Tuesdays with Tipp, with a discussion of the latest hockey news, an education in the sport, and updates from the team. Rick Neuheisel, the winningest coach in AAF history (1-0), explains why he decided to join the Arizona Hotshots and the Association of American Football.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Puka Nacua is now a Husky / Yogi Roth on the Nacua news, and all things UW / Isaiah Thomas & iconic Seattle sports calls
Wide receiver Puka Nacua is now a Husky. He's one of the top receiving recruits in the country, continuing the program's recent track record of recruiting top talent at that position. Pac-12 Network's Yogi Roth discusses the Nacua news, and everything else we need to know about the 2019 recruiting class. It's Isaiah Thomas' birthday, which means it's the perfect time to reply the iconic game-winning shot call from the Pac-10 Tournament. Dixon Fain re-creates the call, and the slowcomotive version is fantastic. Is the Isaiah call the greatest in Seattle sports history, or does that belong to "The Double?"

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Dawgs lose Saturday, bu tno need to panic / Christian Caple on the UW recruiting class / Textimonials
The Huskies lost their first Pac-12 game of the season against Arizona State on Saturday. The game wasn't pretty, but really it's one conference loss. It means they won't get ranked this week, but it's not going ot hurt them in the long run, just as long as they don't let this snowball. The Athletic's Christian Caple runs us through everything we need to know about the 2019 UW recruiting class. Textimonials weigh in with thoughts on the show at 49451.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Jordan Steele, when will the snow end? / Suggestions for the AAF / Kareem Hunt with the Browns
The snow continues to fall in some areas, and has changed to a slushy mess in others. King 5 meteorologist Jordan Steele tells us when all of this madness might actually end... if ever. The AAF debuted this weekend, and it's TV ratings were pretty good, but that's because it is a novelty. It might need to make some adjustments to succeed long-term, and Softy just so happens to have a few. Kareem Hunt is now a Cleveland Brown, and naturally there is some backlash, but are there different levels to domestic abuse? This didn't look the same as the Ray Rice video, and there might have been some other circumstances that led to the incident. Obviously he should have found a better way of responding, but maybe the circumstances should play a role in how we view the whole thing. What got him into trouble with the Chiefs though was lying about the incident in the first place.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - The snow has arrived / Sam Perkins + Metro League basketball / Matisse Thybulle
It's snowing. Everyone knows by now, but seriously be careful out there. Dick Fain is joined by Randy Novak, Bruce Lloyd, and special guest Sam Perkins to talk all things Metro League basketball. The Dawgs escaped the ice and snow, and won yet another game last night. Not widely known is that the team has been battling some sort of plague. Matisse Thybulle talks about the team's overall health, his play, and his thoughts on the Sun Devils.

The Dawgs are in Tucson tonight for a big game against the Wildcats. Joining us from Arizona is Sam Timmins talking about the quick improvement in his game. How did a kid from New Zealand end up playing basketball in Seattle? Tonight, at the Sports Star of the Year awards we're honoring the 1979 Sonics, which brings up the question, which is the greatest sports team in Seattle history. Dick and Dave argue over the best and most beloved Mariners teams; 1995 or 2001?

  • Softy and Dick H3: From the MTR Western Sports Star of the Year Awards - Wally Walker / BBK / Chris Hansen / Lenny Wilkens / Gus Williams
Dave and Dick continue live from the MTR Western Sports Star of the Year Awards at the Seattle Grand Sheraton. Kevin Durant is angry at the media yet again. We love him here, but he needs to realize that the media is part of the reason he's successful. Wally Walker shares his thoughts on Durant, LaVar, and the current NBA. Ben Burr-Kirven talks about preparing for the combine, and his expectations for the 2019 Huskies. Chris Hansen talks about the latest efforts to bring the NBA back to Seattle. Lenny Wilkens and Gus Williams reminisce about the 1979 Sonics.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - 2019 Signing Day Part II: Unfounded concerns / Chris Petersen on the recruiting class and the 2019 season
Today was the second signing day of the season, and the Dawgs have picked up a couple of big recruits; Asa Turner and Daniel Heimuli. Dick was concerned when Petersen was hired that he might not be able to pull top West Coast recruits to Washington. It appears at this point that those concerns were unfounded. Coach Petersen himself joins the show to talk about the recruiting class, what was learned from the Rose Bowl, expectations for next season, and more. What can we reasonably expect from Jacob Eason. Some are already putting him in the first round of next year's NFL Draft, and that's not just Dawg fans.
