  • Softy and Dick H1 - Howard Schultz is stepping down / Mariners are first in the AL West, 15 games above .500 / Can Cleveland come back?
Howard Schultz is stepping down as the executive chairman at Starbucks. We as Sonics fans decided it would be a good idea to offer our congratulations. You can leave yours by calling 2-6-494-2595 and we'll play them back on the air. The Mariners continue to be red hot. They swept the Rays, are now a game ahead of the Astros in the AL West, and are 15 games over .500. One of the biggest surprises so far this season has been Marco Gonzales. Last year, fans were ready to tear Dipoto apart when he traded away Tyler O'Neil for Gonzales but that trade has worked out pretty well. Cleveland got beaten again last night. Is this the end for Cleveland? Probably not. LeBron is 8-0 in games 3 and 4 in these situations. There's no way this series only goes 4 or 5 games. Dick is pretty sure it'll go 7.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Warriors win Game 1 / Keegan Kolesar on the Golden Knights / Huskies favored to win the Pac-12
We are live from Jimmy's on First, pre-gaming before the M's game tonight. Game 1 of the NBA Finals was last night, and it was a pretty incredible start to the series. It's hard to root for the Warriors when they continue to act like spoiled 7-year-olds. Keegan Kolesar, former Thunderbird and current Golden Knight, joins us to talk about the Stanley Cup Final, the Vegas' improbable first-year triumph as an organization. The Huskies are 7-to-5 favorites to win the Pac-12 in 2018. Even though we expected them to be favored, these odds are far higher than we expected.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Mariners ace James Paxton / Hey, Did You Hear That? / Washington leads Oregon / Baseball's Heritage Pre-Game Show
We talk to Mariners ace James Paxton about his recent no-hitter, his strategy for staying healthy, his thoughts on Felix's problems on the mound, and a whole lot more. On Hey Did You Hear That?: The best audio clips from during and after Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Huskies are leading the Ducks in softball right now. They're just one win away from being one win away... The Mariners begin a series against the Tampa Bay Rays tonight. We get you ready for the game, and hear from the skipper on Baseball's Heritage Pre-Game Show.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Biggest snobs in sports / M's lose 2 in a row / Auburn v. Washington a pick 'em game / Noah Dickerson on returning to UW
Softy got roasted by hockey guy for referring to the Stanley Cup Final as the Stanley Cup Finals. We all know that guy; the guy that has to make sure you are corrected on every little detail about their sport. Soccer guy is like that, baseball guy is like that. Which sport has the biggest snobs as fans? Mariners lose another game. Let's not all freak out. They're still 11 games over .500 and only a game out of first place in the AL West. Joe Banner took a shot at Brian Schottenheimer on Twitter, but was he right? The Husky game against Auburn is a 12:30 game, but it isn't at home. It's also now listed as a pick'em at some sportsbooks whereas Auburn had been favored just a few weeks ago. Let's be honest, taking Auburn in this situation seems like the obvious play. Noah Dickerson talks to us about his decision to return to Washington for another year of college basketball.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Tyler Lockett responds to Dick calling him run-of-the-mill / Do you want Dave or do you want Dick? / Textimonials
Yesterday, Dick claimed that Tyler Lockett was just a run-of-the-mill wide receiver. Today, Softy decided to reach out to Lockett and see what he had to say about Dick's comments. Softy maintains that Lockett has the potential to be much more than a run-of-the-mill player. We find out what you think on today's edition of Do you want Dave, or do you want Dick? The discussion about Lockett continues on Textimonials, as we take your thoughts at 49451.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Scott Brosius on the Mariners / Hey, Did You Hear That? / Sportsbook
Mariners third-base coach Scott Brosius joins the program to talk about the team's success early on in the season, and his daily responsibilities with the team. On Hey, Did You Hear That: Reggie Bush likes Rashaad Penny, Gary Payton with a message for Sonics fans, and the ramblings of Mike Leach. Finally, we open the Softy and Dick Sportsbook with Game 1 of the NBA Finals about to get underway.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Using Diaz in non-save situations / Schottenheimer & Norton speak / Marshall's first media briefing / Dickerson returns
Scott Servais again used Edwin Diaz in a non-save situation last night, and he got lit up. A few weeks ago Dick argued that they shouldn't be using Diaz in non-save situations. Is he right? We hear from Brian Schottenheimer and Ken Norton Jr. for the first time today. Schottenheimer says they have all the right pieces in place. Do we agree with this? Dick isn't so sure about Tyler Locket. Brandon Marshall also spoke today after it was announced that he was joining the team yesterday. Softy is pretty confident he'll be on the roster in September. Good news for Husky fans; Noah Dickerson has decided to return to the UW for another year.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - CJ Nitkowski on Paxton, Felix, and using closers in non-save situations / Petros Papadakis / Textimonials
CJ Nitkowski, former pitcher and current MLB analyst talks about Matt Moore's struggles, contrasting him with James Paxton. Nitkowski gives his thoughts on Felix's struggles, and whether closers should be used in non-save situations. Petros Papadakis discusses the pitfalls of social media, the Millens becoming an Oregon family, and the Huskies' biggest weakness. We wrap up the show with a brief Textimonials segment as we prepare for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
