  • Softy and Dick H1 - Can't hang onto the ball / Chris Petersen press conference / Fact or Fiction: Rams / Callers sound off
The Dawgs couldn't get it done on The Farm, falling to Stanford in possibly the most disappointing loss in years. So where does the blame lie? Well there seems to be plenty to go around, and we spend much of today's show looking at what exactly happened on Saturday. Quite a bit of blame has been placed on play-calling, but it seemed like a lot of guys were where they needed to be, but pass-catchers couldn't hang on to the ball. It's not the first time we've seen this, and the trend is raising some serious concerns. Once again, the calls for younger receivers getting more time grow louder. Why aren't we seeing more of them? Chris Petersen is asked about this today in his Monday press conference, plus other pressing questions after the loss. We take a few minutes away from Husky chatter for Fact or Fiction where Softy takes the Rams who will be coming off ten days' rest to take on the 49ers at home. After dropping two in a row, they're going to be angry. Speaking of angry, we give you the listener the chance to sound off by calling the show at 206.286-9595 or 1-800-829-0950.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Russell Wilson for MVP / Joel Klatt on the Husky loss / Textimonials / Thumbs up, or thumbs down?
Obviously, everyone in Seattle knows that the Seahawks' star quarterback has been sensational since he got here, but right now, he's playing on another level, even for him. Softy is calling it now; Russell Wilson will be MVP, but the Hawks will have to win 12 games. Joel Klatt reacts to the Husky loss on The Farm this past weekend. What went wrong, and is this the end of Rose Bowl hopes for the Dawgs this year? We took reactions via phone last hour, the reactions to the game continue via text this hour on Textimonials. We highlight the good, and the bad in the world of sports every Monday before the football game on a segment we call Thumbs Up, or Thumbs Down.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - You are watching greatness / Luke Willson after the game / Fact or Fiction: Minnesota -5 / Nate Burleson
Last night's game was easily one of the most intense football games ever played, complete with multiple lead changes, incredible throws and catches, a key interception, and a missed field goal by Zeurlein that nearly gave Seahawks fans everywhere a heart attack. The man that just continues to impress game after game may have had his best performance ever last night. When you watch Russell Wilson take the field, you are watching greatness. Some couldn't imagine paying Wilson $35 million a year to play here, but he's proving that he's worth every penny. Hopefully we've got another decade or more of watching him in a Seahawk uniform. Tight end Luke Willson is back with the Hawks, and Softy caught up with him postgame to talk about the amazing win, and what playing in Seattle means to him. The Vikings are a wounded animal prepared to strike back. Softy says take them minus the 5 against the Giants on Fact or Fiction. Despite everything we have seen from Russell Wilson, he still doesn't get the love that other quarterbacks do from the national media. Is he still underrated from a national perspective? We get a take from Nate Burleson.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Be more aggressive on 4th and 1 / Opponent Audio Recap: Rams / Textimonials
Even before the field goal kick was missed, Softy wanted Carroll to go for it on 4th and 1, and the numbers from last season back that up. Teams had a better shot of getting a first down outside the red zone on 4th and 1 than they did kicking it from the same distance. Ultimately, Zeurlein missed a field goal of his own, and the Hawks won the game, but had things gone differently, we'd be talking a lot more about the conservative play-calling today. You've asked for it, we've obliged; a longer edition of the Opponent Audio Recap featuring the Rams Radio crew after a huge Seahawk victory last night. Textimoniials react to the first two hours of the show by texting 49451.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Jadeveon Clowney / Bob Rondeau on the Dawgs / Dick and Dave with Tedric Thompson and Nick Harris / Chris Petersen
Jedeveon Clowney had his first real experience with the 12's yesterday. Yeah, he was here for the Bengals win, but this was the first true game with a rocking CenturyLink Field. Softy talked with him about his experience after the game. Bob Rondeau was at the Seahawks game as well. He talks about the great night for one former Dawg in Will Dissly, and a not-so-great night for another former Dawg, Marcus Peters. We had to fit in at least one today: It's Dick and Dave in the Locker Room with Nick Harris and Tedric Thompson. Finally, we usually get to it on Thursdays, but with the game, we've moved it to Friday: The weekly conversation with Husky head coach Chris Petersen.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - From Jimmy's on First / Rams rivalry / Willie McGinest / Fact or Fiction: Seahawks / Lee Sterling's picks
Tonight, the gigantic Thursday Night matchup between the Rams and Seahawks. We're down here at Jimmy's on First getting ready for the game all afternoon long. As mentioned, this is a huge game adn it might even ultimately decide the division, but the Rams don't feel like our rivals, at least not in the way that the Niners were our rivals a few years ago. What we really need is for LA's fanbase to step it up and get passionate about their team. Willie McGinest discusses tonight's matchup, what we should expect to see. Dick takes the Seahawks on Fact or Fiction. How about the professional handicapper? What does he think? We get Lee Sterling's picks for tonight's game, plus the Dawgs against Stanford, and more.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Mike Tirico / Tyler Lockett and Chris Carson / Dixon Percentage Index / Mike Holmgren
Mike Tirico, on the call for tonight's Hawks and Rams matchup, discusses his expectations from the game, ways to improve the Thursday Night experience, and more. We check in with Tyler Lockett and Chris Carson on another edition of Dick and Dave in the Locker Room. Dixon predicts the odds of a Seahawks win with the Dixon Percentage Index. Mike Holmgren with thoughts on the Rams, playing Thursday night games, and Paul Allen.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - The pressure is on the Hawks / Elijah Molden and D. J. Fluker / Fact or Fiction / Here we are again
The pressure is on the Seahawks in tomorrow's home game against the Rams, at least if they want to win the division. They're probably going to need to at least go 1-1 to take the NFC West, and it's going to be a lot harder to win a game in Southern California than it will be here, but we all know how successful Pete Carroll has been in prime time games, and with the way teh Rams have been looking lately, it's not a difficult pick. Softy catches up with Elijah (not Eli) Molden and Dick talks with D.J. Fluker on Dick and Dave in the Locker Room. The Ravens are going to come out swinging, Softy says. Baltimore is the Fact or Fiction pick. It's been 18 years since this city has seen October baseball. We're right back to where we were in the early years of the franchise. Watching the Nationals and Brewers play last night is just a reminder of how much fun playoff baseball is, and how much this city would benefit if our team were good. Maybe in a couple of year's if Dipoto's plan works out.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Ring of Honor: Who's next? / Petros Papadakis: USC loses, Leach rants, players make money / Textimonials
Tomorrow, about a half an hour before the game, Paul Allen will be inducted into the Ring of Honor as member #12. We're still waiting for the day that Mike Holmgren is honored, but we're sure it's coming. We should be the next Ring of Honor inductee? Petros Papadakis discusses the Fox crews lightning pullback, USC's loss, Mike Leach's comments, Scott Wolf's shot at him, and more. Textimonials with thoughts on the next Ring of Honor member and more.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Rick Neuheisel on the Dawgs win, SB 206, Leach / Kevin Harlan on the NFL / Percy on the 2014 fight, Cliff responds
What does former college coach Rick Neuheisel think of Mike Leach going after his own players the way he did following last weekend's game? We ask him about it, plus his thoughts on the Dawgs, SB 206, and a story about Paul Allen. Could Mahomes be the first $60 million quarterback in a few years? What's up with Jared Goff and the Rams? Kevin Harlan discusses those NFL stories and more. Maybe we're focusing a little too much on the Mike Leach story. Percy Harvin opened up about the pre-Super Bowl skirmish between himself and Golden Tate to Bleecher Report earlier today. In case you missed it, Cliff responded with his memory of the incident.
