It's finally here! Seahawks training camp begins today. After months of speculation, we'll finally get a chance to see what this team will look like in 2018. Not really a huge surprise but the Seahawks have waived Malik McDowell, ending his short-lived NFL career. It's been 20 years since the last top 35 draft pick never played a snap. Ian Furness spent the day at the VMAC. He talks about the first camp crush, Jacob Martin, and his thoughts on Earl.

The M's win yesterday, but so do the A's, and suddenly Oakland is only 1.5 games back. They've been relentless, with a .787 win percentage in their last 33 games. They've got a tough schedule ahead in the next few weeks, but the M'd do too. The M's have had a horrible month offensively, and having Cano's bat back in the lineup is going to be important. One thing to keep in mind though, even after all of this, the M's are still ahead. If the M's pick it up a little and/or the A's start to regress to the mean, Seattle will start pulling away again and everything will be fine. We spoke to Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott at Media Day yesterday. He tells us how he feels the conference is doing, and some of his responses might just anger you. We re-visit the poll from Tuesday. If Earl Thomas misses ten games this year because of his holdout, will you boo him? The results can be looked at in different ways. What's really going to make the difference in whether people boo him though, much like with Cano, is how the team is doing when he comes back. In Hour 1, we talk with David Shaw, head coach at Stanford about his expectations for The Cardinal, and the Pac-12. Cougar coach Mike Leach discusses his continuing battle with Texas Tech, and the talks he had with Tennessee last season, and a look ahead as the team looks to fill the quarterback position. Kevin Sumlin, new head coach of the Arizona Wildcats talks about the perceived differences between his new conference and his former one, the SEC.

Breaking news: Paxton has been scratched from tonight's game. It sounds like it isn't a major deal, but with Pax and injuries, you can't help but worry. It doesn't mean the sky is falling..... yet. In more troubling news, Newy Scruggs, a reporter in Dallas is reporting that Earl Thomas is talking to the Cowboys, and is trying to sell his house in Seattle. It looks like things aren't going as hoped by many Seahawk fans. If he does return to Seattle, and he sits out a tremendous portion of the season, is it acceptable to boo him? Dick claims he'll boo him when he's back at CenturyLink, Softy believes Earl has done too much for the team and the fans to deserve the anger.
