On this week's podcast I interview the newest member of the creative team, DeWayne Chandler, a graphic designer/cyclist/filmmaker who has been a valuable asset to the team since day one...and fun fact, designed the logo for my podcast! We keep our distance (about 20 feet apart) and have a good conversation about setting expectations with your clients and learn about DeWayne's company DAB Media Group. Enjoy!
My dad Brewster was born in the 1940s and has seen technology change drastically since his childhood. I asked him about the first time he remembers watching a television show and how media impacts his life today. We kept our social distance due to the recent coronavirus pandemic. Enjoy the episode with my dad!
David Ortiz is arguably the greatest sports hero in Boston, next to Tom Brady. He's won multiple World Series titles with the Red Sox and hit more walk-off homer runs than I can count on one hand. So in 2016 when my phone rang in response to a Craigslist Ad, I had no idea the call would lead to working with Ortiz and dozens more New England Sports icons. This is the story of how Craigslist got me published in a book with Big Papi.
Is there money to be made in pub trivia? I'm still unclear, but I did get a chance to sit down with my cousin Nate Quellhorst to ask him about his role with Nerdy Talk Trivia out of Nashville, TN. After working a desk job at one of the biggest music publishing companies in the world, Nate turned his side hustle as a trivia host to a full time gig as road warrior/ trivia host/ salesman.
Always great to catch up with family and it was even better having him on the show!

I've known this guy since we were 12 years old and had some prime bowl cuts! We bonded in 6th grade over an obsession with hip hop, burning cds and WWE. What I didn't realize at the time is my best friend JR was cutting his own radio show on the Computer Microphone, dubbing over the local radio show every week.
Today he's got the #1 night show in Nashville and you can hear him talking up the most popular top 40 hits from 7-midnight on i106.7 FM
We cover a lot of ground in this one as we have been friends over 20 years! JR and I have helped each other in our media careers in some of the least likely of places, including the time when he helped on a photoshoot with Bill Belichick. We talk about JR being one of the biggest Cowboys fans on planet earth and how the Soulja Boy hit "Crank Dat" inspired an early Viral YouTube video for JR which quickly reached over 1 million views.
Sit back and enjoy the conversation I had catching up with my best friend!

Welcome to the show!
This is my first podcast episode. I explain what this show is about (spoiler, it's about media and content creation) as well as set my 2 goals for the podcast.
1. I want to teach something every episode
2. I will have guests with a connection to media and content creation on the show.
I've been making content since I was 14 and It's been my passion and career ever since. I hope this podcast is both entertaining and provides some insight into the world behind the camera/ in the studio that most people don't get to see or hear about.
Thanks and enjoy!
Please like, share and subscribe to the podcast if you love content creation or media in general. If there is a particular guest you want to hear from let me know and I will try to book them!
