After Carlow's final Joe McDonagh Cup game against Westmeath in 2021, David English stepped down from inter-county hurling. He admits it was a tough decision but now he concentrates on club hurling. 
He has won Christy Ring and Joe McDonagh Cup finals in Croke Park with Carlow and has pocketed  minor and under 21 medals with Ballinkillen. He covets a senior title with Ballinkillen. Here, he reflects on his hurling career with club and county.
