Main Topic: As wonderful as social media is, it cannot fix a systemic problem inside your company. Social media will, in fact, expose and explode cracks in your foundation. Be responsive to the online feedback and quickly fix your problems.

Tip: Use a real person’s name and photo whenever possible on social networks. People like talking to people rather than entities and this will do wonders for humanizing your business.

Main Topic: McDonalds has recently used YouTube video to great effect, going behind the scenes and being transparent about the business. The effect is to greatly humanize the business and you can do the same for your business.

Tip: Use video in your social marketing but don’t let perfection stop you. You don’t have to make a video has greatly produced as McDonalds. It’s more important your video be authentic, real and show something of your business people dont’ expect but will be delighted to see.
