For 70 years, since 1950 every spike in inflation, like we're having right now, has been followed by a recession.

But it's really not until you get a chance to dig into the underlying numbers, that you see how really devastating this report is to the average consumer. And how the economic policies of the current Administration have had a direct effect on our current plight.

Today, much of that is gone. Certainly, our freedom has eroded in a way most of us never thought possible. And with that loss of freedom, I fear, will come a corresponding loss of our way of life.

Markets began to slide after it was announced that inflation hit 6.2% last quarter, the worst reading in 31 years.

And it was over in the bond market that we saw the worst performance of the day, after that 30 year Treasury auction we talked about, went especially poorly.

The big economic news this morning is, of course, the big jump in Inflation, coming in at 6.2%. It's been 31 years since inflation was anywhere near this level.

In fact, for the past several years the Federal Reserve was trying to stimulate the economy so that we would have a higher inflation rate.

We don't have to worry about that anymore!

A free and open market is a wonder to behold. Producing abundance. The Free market, like the one developed throughout the 20th century in America, was a marvel of the ages. It produced goods at a rate that could only be dreamed of by our parents and grandparents.

For those of us who live in the nation's “snow belt” now is the time that winter approaches. Now the calendar may say we have another month or so before winter officially begins. But here in the Pennsylvania Hills, we've already had our first hard freezes, and the growing season is officially over.
