I was as surprised as you, when last week President Biden unveiled his proposed new budget for next year.

In fact in Obama's first year, 2009 the federal deficit hit a mind numbing nearly 1 ½ trillion, nearly tripling the year before.

As we begin the Memorial Day Weekend, the unofficial start of Summer. Things are looking up for the country. For the first time in over a year, people are gathering in large numbers to watch baseball, go to restaurants, have a picnic, or just enjoy the outdoors.

It's a real contrast to last year at this time, when many of us were locked indoors, enduring self quarantine. All in an effort to stop the spread of the Corona Virus, Covid 19.

And it's due in large measure to the production of the Vaccine.

The headline numbers will likely come from the Durable Goods Orders, always a good harbinger of the future of heavy industry and manufacturing.

This will be followed by the preliminary estimate of Q1 Corporate Profits.
