The noblest of nobles is humbled when faced with the manifestations of thy glory ... O my brother, a pure heart is as a mirror. Cleanse it with the burnish of love and severance from all save God, that the true sun shall shine therein, and the eternal morning dawn.

O God, my God, thou art my intended aim and desire ... feeble souls have confined the wide expanse of knowledge within the walls of self and passion ... and have thereby veiled themselves from the light of the mystic sun, and the mysteries of the Eternal Beloved.

To him, all songs are from the Sovereign King, and every melody from Him ... to assist me is to teach my cause ... this is the changeless commandment of God.

O Lord, give me thy grace, preserve my loved ones. Strengthen me in my servitude to thee. Illumine my brow with the light of adoration.

When the fire of love is set ablaze, it turneth to ashes the harvest of reason . . . the steed of this valley is pain, and there if be no pain, this journey will never end . . . the lilies of ancient wisdom can blossom nowhere except in the city of the stainless heart.

The first valley is the Valley of Search. The steed of this valley is patience: without patience the wayfarer on this journey will reach nowhere and attain no goal. Nor should he ever become downhearted: If he strive for a hundred thousand years and yet fail to find the beauty of the Friend, he should not falter.

May you all be united, may you all be freed, may you all serve the solidarity of mankind.

The honor with which the hand of mercy will invest the soul is such as no tongue can adequately reveal, nor any other earthly agency describe... The prophets and messengers of God have been sent down for the sole purpose of guiding mankind to the path of truth.

The teacher should not consider himself as learned and others as ignorant. Such a thought breeds pride, and pride is not conducive to influence. The teacher should not see in himself any superiority, he should speak with the utmost kindness, lowliness, and humility. For such speech exerts influence and educates souls.

Is it not imagination and ignorance which impels man to violate the divine intention, and make the boundaries of God the cause of war, bloodshed, and destruction? Therefore, all prejudices between man and man are falsehoods and violations of the word of God.
