Dawson's Darlings

Before we started recording, we promised ourselves “no tangents.” So please enjoy an episode about how to pronounce La Croix, sexism, Ego Stuff, dry shampoo, Jordan Almonds, Amazon sales, and bathtubs.

Season 5, Episode 21 - “After Hours”

From HBO Max: As Pacey tries fighting off the temptations offered by Alex, a study break leads Dawson into the bed with local film critic.

Joey. Listen. You’re not dropping out of college for the guy who cheated on Jen, can’t play guitar, and has that hair.

Season 5, Episode 20 - “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)”

From HBO Max: As a tour for Charlie’s band leaves Joey facing a big decision, Pacey and Audrey find out that the restaurant’s new ownership will mean big changes for both of them.

It’s Spring Break baybee! Come listen to this Dawson’s Creek podcast to hear about One Tree Hill, behind-the-scenes of TRL’s Spring Break production, and Derek Jeter and Kelly Clarkson’s middle names. Also… why is Jack standing on the pergola so much and why does Jen have a cold?

Season 5, Episode 19 - “100 Light Years from Home”

From HBO Max: As a Spring Break trip to Florida forces Pacey and Audrey to admit their true feelings for each other, Joey must decide how to handle a very persistent Charlie.

Grams has a *boyfriend*, Joey hearts Charlie (no thanks), Audrey tests Pacey, and Dawson’s unfinished movie is 2 hours and 45 minutes. Plus!! Meredith Salinger is in this episode!!

Season 5, Episode 18 - “Cigarette Burns”

From HBO Max: Dawson inadvertently insults an influential critic right before she’s about to review his new film.

Attention all Meteorererheads… this one’s for you! We’ve got a Chip Mark concert, Pacey loyalty, Dawson’s growth and… well there’s just no other way to say this… Joey singing. Plus, since we recorded on the weekend of #TheNews, what will the (alleged) post-breakup album be like

Season 5, Episode 17 - “Highway to Hell”

From HBO Max: As Audrey and Pacey join Joey for a road trip to perform with Charlie’s band, Dawson’s return to Capeside reveals some new information about his mom’s life – and his own romance with Jen.

Today we are speaking (at length) about - nail care at work, a new location nickname, and the Squeaky Leak(tm). Also, about the cast of Dawson’s Creek (sometimes).

Season 5, Episode 16 - “In a Lonely Place”

From HBO Max: As Joey is forced to face up to her feelings for Professor Wilder, Jen and Pacey get some unexpected advice on romance from a pair of touring musicians.

Not sure what to say about this episode except that it exists. But on the plus side - Zazz has some mango! Plus, Kim wants to be a ghost fly.

Season 5, Episode 15 - “Downtown Crossing”

From HBO Max: Joey helps a mugger who robbed her just before he was hit by a car.

Look out world, Dawson’s making himself a movie! And while Kim can’t stop touching the microphone (sorry friends - I didn’t know I was doing it), that’s the least of Zazz’s issues with this episode. Come for the episode, stay for the oddly long conversation about Limp Bizkit, and not enough conversations about Notting Hill.

Season 5, Episode 14 - “Guerilla Filmmaking”

From HBO Max: As Dawson struggles to direct a classmate’s script, Joey confronts her own feelings about Professor Wilder.

Jen’s doing baby talk, Dawson’s in film school, and Joey’s making… choices. But none of that, not one single beat of those stories, compares to the absolute genius that is Zazz’s Italian drums.

Season 5, Episode 13 - “Something Wilder”

From HBO Max: As Dawson starts film school, Jen’s newfound happiness jeopardizes her radio show; Joey finds herself with two dinner dates and a difficult choice to make.

"Dr. Lawyer-Stronaut" starring Jennifer Morrison. Thursdays on ABC. (Other stuff happens in this episode, but the point is... Jennifer Morrison is back.

Season 5, Episode 12 - “Sleeping Arrangements”

From HBO Max: As Pacey must choose because a new passion and an old one, Dawson and Jen try to find a balance in their new relationship; Jack discovers that he is not quite as welcome at the fraternity as he once thought.
