This just in: prison is pretty lame. But also, much friendlier than expected! Instead of a benches clearing brawl, Bash finds himself arm wrestling for dominance against a dwarven gang boss. As Kel tries to adapt to life on the inside and Decker’s curiosity grows about his sealed charges, only one thing is for sure: the food is not getting better.

It started as an internal discussion between the top minds at Day Players R&D, and we decided we had to share it as a media analysis episode series. Disney’s “The Mandalorian” is the hot new show in the streaming world, but with a straightforward plot and a simple protagonist, it’s very different from most modern TV shows. This show plays like a DnD campaign -- a really good one.

Lock into the chain gang and bust out the prison stripes because the Day Players are going to the pokey! Which is prison. We assume people still use the word “pokey.” Kel, Bash, and Decker have been accused of a menagerie of crimes, some more fair than others, and find themselves in Pendleward Penitentiary. Stripped of their gear, their freedom, and their dignity, will this ragtag bunch be crushed on day one? Or rise to the top of the slag heap?
Join Paxton, Sean, Tommy, and Morgan as they enter The Big House, make some prison friends, and have unfortunate realizations about what the bucket is for.

Horrors of horrors, the people of Volheim have been chowing down on a little bit more than Chicken on a Stick(™) for the last hundred years or so! Dink, Claus, and Belltow are stuck in the midst of fiendish revelers! These weirdos aren’t even bothering with subtext, they will straight up eat you. Fortunately our heroes have the juice to respond in an equally un-subtle manner. That leaves only the Arch-Fey to deal with...talk about a tough holiday dinner party.

Into the Feywild, and hopefully back out again eventually! Dink, Claus, and Belltow find themselves among strange flora and stranger fauns and fauna. Pelorsgiving is in full swing back in Volheim, so there’s no time to waste at Pan’s snackbar! The Arch-Fey must be met for Belltow’s heroic return, but where is the Arch-Fey…?

Ahh, Pelorsgiving: a time for food, festivities, faith, and fluids (at least for Holcron, resident skulker at the Fat Pig Inn). He may be a wet blanket and a hot mess, but Dink, Claus, and Belltow are keeping cool heads. Though there’s fun to be had, it’s also hard to ignore the sparkling, watchful eyes of the Fey outside the town. And at noon, when the boundary between worlds becomes fuzzy, it may be hard to resist the temptations of more sinister celebrations…

There’s a chill in the air, cider on the stove, and a brand new Day Players arc ready for your ears! The culinary minded adventurers Dink, Belltow, and Clause are ready to celebrate a new holiday called Pelorsgiving, observed only in the town of Volheim. Rumor says that the people living in this village beyond the Bricklestick Woods are generous and hospitable, especially during their Fall holiday when the god Pelor himself descends to the town. It’s a lovely time, except when you’re tricked into eating your fellow townsperson. So essentially the same as our real world Autumn holidays.

Morgan loses the battle with his modern urges and...ruins DnD, or does he save it?
The sheep’s out of the bag now, and it was a very big bag for a VERY big sheep! The mutated Bowling Ball is somewhere on the loose, right as the big parade is starting! And now that apparently guns exist in this world, things could get very messy. Fortunately Delilah and Carpenter have teamed up with Biggums, and they’re ready to slap Bowling Ball back home. And maybe Sylvester can help the search! Like most exorbitantly wealthy people, he seems cool and down to help his fellows.

October 31, 2019 056. Dr. Sheep - Violence of The Lambs III of IV DAY PLAYERS CINEMA SCREAMS DOUBLE FEATURE
IT'S A HALLOWEEN BONUS EPISODE! Delilah and Carpenter seem to be narrowing in on what is causing all the recent sheep disappearances...at least, it seems likely that the horrifying lizard rat facing them down is somehow connected. But the presence of a strange yellow powder in the mines is concerning as well. Will the town doctor be able to figure out what this substance is in time to save the Wild West Parade? Only if the DM decides that now this world has DNA analysis, which frankly at the rate we’re going is not unlikely.
