In Part 2, of this meditation on God's kingdom, we are reminded that His kingdom is not visible or subject to this world's dynamics of power. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. So,where are we experiencing and living in God’s kingdom? How can we experience and live in God’s Kingdom more? Perhaps, our perception of where we are needs to change. Father, grant us sight to see we are already there, already righteous, already given peace and joy. We only need to let You open our eyes to the Truth.

Grace is favor. It is a blessing the moment it is bestowed on another person. God sees our hearts and knows our intent. To withhold judgement is to build a fence of protection around someone struggling to be accepted. Grace and mercy kiss and the Lord’s favor flows over the wounds those needing a kind word. Be a moment of grace for someone today.

As we consider the familiar phrases of prayer for God's kingdom to come, let's consider as well, what it means to serve a King. What should our posture toward Him be, and are we truly aligned with His purposes for His kingdom?

What is important to you today? What do you value? Does it consume your attention, is it the center of your life? Today’s meditation reminds us what a life with Christ is and should be. We are instructed to use our faith so Christ’s life can be released within us, so that His love rests in us and on us, becoming our center and source for living.

In so many places in Scripture we are told we are not alone, that God is with us. The Psalmist exclaimed, no matter where I go, You, God, will be there. Take comfort and believe. God is here with you, wherever you are.

We are challenged throughout the Scriptures to be generous. We are encouraged to live from a heart that is not afraid of loss but is willing to love with an extravagance that cannot be quenched. Only in that way, will we experience the extravagant love that God has already given to us. Let us not be timid but bold in giving to others.

We have the experience of light and darkness every day. In our physical realm, there is day and night. In the spiritual realm, it is life or death. Jesus taught, God is light and there is no darkness in Him. This more than we can understand, yet it is totally true. God's Spirit give life through trusting Jesus, and this life from God dispels the darkness in and around us. We are transformed into the image of Jesus. Trust Him to shine in and through you. Be light and love in your world today.

It’s interesting that one of the instructions we often hear is “to let peace rule”. The issue here is not so much that peace should rule, there’s no question about that! It is the instruction of letting it rule – of allowing it to control our thoughts and actions, our words and our attitude toward others. Father, may we allow You, the giver of perfect, unchanging peace truly rule our thoughts, our actions, our words and our attitudes today.

This meditation is based on selections from Psalms 25 amd 27. Although we cannot see our future, we can trust our Father will lead us down the paths of mercy and truth. He will take care of us.
