  • Steppenwolf – DC Comics Characters 101

    Who is Steppenwolf?

Steppenwolf is a villainous New God from Apokolips. He is an uncle to Darkseid and a brother to Queen Heggra. He is often portrayed as a military leader and fighter, often working closely with Parademons.

Steppenwolf's first appearance in comics was in New Gods #7 "The Pact" from 1972. He was created by writer and artist Jack Kirby. He has appeared sparingly in comic books since then. Most notably, he played a major role in the invasion of Earth-2 in the New 52.
