Deadspin posted the 2021 Idiot of the Year awards earlier this week. Jon Gruden won the prestigious award...but it was the sixth name on the list that caught the most attention. ESPN's Sage Steele ranked sixth on Deadspin list.

However...it was their comparison to Candace Owens that caught the attention of conservative media. Sites like Outkick are blasting Deadspin for this error...but we explain how Deadspin did this purposefully to attract traffic to their site.

We discuss how this tactic by Deadspin further damages the credibility of the mainstream media. While it's a brilliant plan short-term...it doesn't solve the long-term issues at Deadspin.
