When it comes to guidance on the COVID-19 pandemic, you may feel like you are on your own. 

Mask mandates have been lifted. There’s little guidance from our elected leaders and public officials. And it’s hard to even get an idea of the spread of the virus, because states are reporting infection data less frequently. 

MPR News host Angela Davis spoke with The Atlantic magazine’s science writer Ed Yong about what he describes as the “figure it out for yourself” phase of the pandemic. We also heard from a community group in Minneapolis that is working to fill the gaps in information and aid.
