In this episode of Dear Creative Mind, I’m diving deep into the tension between self-doubt and self-belief—the push and pull that every creative soul knows all too well..We all feel that part of us that questions our worth, our decisions, and our abilities...
How can we shift from seeing it as a roadblock to using it as a tool for growth? I’ll walk you through simple yet powerful actions you can take to start building confidence, even when you’re not sure you’re ready. We’ll talk about why self-doubt shows up, how to understand it better, and simple actions you can take to keep moving forward.
If you’re tired of second-guessing yourself and want to find a way to trust your creative path a bit more, this episode is for you.
About me
Pascale Côté is a creativity guide, artist, and writer who helps creatives meet, understand, and express themselves by guiding them to work *with* their (creative, complex, unconventional) nature instead of against it. She helps artists, visionaries, disruptors and earth stewards break free from the vortex of overthinking and move forward with their bold, rebellious ideas. Her work challenges conventional norms, inviting creatives to explore what’s possible when they release outdated narratives and embrace their true, authentic expression. Pascale believes that art is a powerful vehicle for both individual and collective change when it’s grounded in truth—created outside the rigid systems that stifle our creative spirit.
About the podcast
Creative minds are the architects of a new world, and their art holds the keys to reimagining our reality. The challenge is, creative minds often spend just as much time crafting self-limiting narratives as they do creating their art. Dear Creative Mind is a space for creative liberation—a pathway out of the cycle of overthinking, burnout, and stagnation. This podcast is for artists & creative entrepreneurs where Pascale, creativity guide, shares grounding meditations, gentle coaching guidance and heartfelt conversations with inspiring artists. The podcast explores the real challenges that come with being creative—overthinking, self-doubt, burnout—and how to navigate them while staying true to our vision.

In this conversation, Melissa opens up about her journey with long COVID, a transformative experience that has reshaped her identity as a person, creative, dancer, and storyteller. She reflects on how the illness has woven itself into the fabric of her life, and how it brought up fear, loss, grief, anger... and also, its own kind of medicine.
About Melissa
Before the pandemic, Melissa Mansfield was a marketing professional who spent her off hours producing her passion project - a video series about traveling the world through dance, in which she lived abroad learning the iconic dances of places like Havana and Buenos Aires. In 2022, after a two-year hiatus, she traveled to South America to produce a new season, focusing on Cali, Colombia - the “Salsa Capital of the World”. Ten days into her trip, she contracted covid for the first time. This began a two-year journey of illness, loss, grief and - ultimately - recovery. She is now navigating a new way of being a traveler, storyteller and dancer - forever changed by her long covid experience.

Do you have an inner critic? Your answer is most likely yes! I can also assume you've been wanting to get rid of it many times before. In today's episode, I'm inviting you to better understand this protective part of you and learn how to befriend it (instead of destroying it).
