Muslim women were auctioned virtually. Local governments announced orders that crushed Muslims economically. The Karnataka government asserted that young girls who wore hijabs would be refused from entering school. The Bharatiya Janata Party accused Muslims of bioterrorism during the peak of COVID-19 outbreaks.
