In this episode, we dive into the ugly business of private prisons and why it's in their best interest to keep more people in jail. We'll be talking about some of the horror stories that prisoners go through to survive these prisons. Additionally, we'll be talking about what we're doing as a country to ban these prisons and why change must come from the people and not the government.
In the fourth episode of Dear Gen Z, we covered the very popular topic of police brutality. Throughout the episode, we'll go through the history of how the police became what it is. We'll briefly cover the movements of ACAB, defund the police, and abolish the police and I'll give my opinion on them. After that, we'll go over how qualified immunity and access to military weapons have fathered a police culture that breeds the mentality that policemen are tools of the state, they can get away with anything they want and are there to scare people into obedience. All in all, this episode will hopefully give y'all a new perspective on ACAB and other trends about police brutality and will motivate you to try and find some solutions to this ever-increasing problem.

In today's episode, I go over the complicated and tragic history of the formation of Israel, the oppression of the Palestinian people, and how colonial powers like the U.S and the UK have influenced this conflict. Additionally, we'll break down the governments of Gaza and the West Bank as we cover how Hamas and Al-Fatah came into power.
