Someone paralyzed my growth by projecting their fears on me. Are you like me where you get the most amazing ideas, take action on them, but drop the ball somewhere in the middle and never see them to the finish line?
If you can relate, let me help you free yourself from this bondage. I’ve discovered someone or maybe it’s a few people you’ve met along your journey that planted a very toxic seed in your life that won’t allow you to finish.
I need you to go back in your pile that is stuck at the gate and pick one of your projects that you really felt passionate about. Now I am asking you the following:
🤔 Who told you that you would never make it?
🙁Who projected their fears on you?
😢Who told you that you are not worthy?
➡️ Who paralyzed your growth?
Let’s pick back up where we left off and finish this time!

When these three inner teams operate in harmony, we unlock the potential for extraordinary growth, resilience, and self-realization. The mind provides clarity, reasoning, and strategic thinking, while the soul adds depth, intuition, and emotional intelligence. The spirit infuses us with inspiration, creativity, and a sense of connectedness to the greater universe.
Dear Life Warriors, you ought to have self-awareness and know your worth in every situation. Stop looking for validation, accolades, and respect in your organization or team. Do not give to receive do them to make yourself feel better and start celebrating yourself for all that you’ve done so far.
When you seek validation, respect, and accolades you are lowering your value. Such metrics do not command respect and will subject you to a negative mindset once your efforts goes unnoticed. So change how you do things and why you do them and you will stop feeling unappreciated at work. And with time you will start commanding respect because of endorsing self-awareness!

Dear Life Warriors, bullying can often be subtle because it is not always overt or physical in nature. Rather, it can manifest through more subtle behaviours such as exclusion, gossiping, belittling, or undermining someone's work or reputation. These actions can be difficult to detect or prove, which can make it challenging for victims to address and for organisations to prevent.

Rejection can certainly have positive aspects, although it can also be a difficult and painful experience. Here are some ways in which rejection can be a positive thing:
It helps you grow: Rejection can be a powerful learning experience. When you are rejected, you have the opportunity to reflect on what went wrong and what you can do differently in the future. This can help you improve your skills and become a better version of yourself.
It makes you resilient: Dealing with rejection can be tough, but it can also build your resilience. When you learn to bounce back from rejection and keep moving forward, you develop a sense of inner strength that can help you tackle future challenges.
It clarifies your goals: Sometimes rejection can help you realize that what you thought you wanted isn't actually what you want at all. If you're rejected from a job or a relationship, for example, it may be a sign that you're better off pursuing something else that aligns more closely with your values and interests.
It opens up new opportunities: Sometimes rejection can lead to unexpected opportunities. For example, if you don't get the job you applied for, you might discover a new company or career path that you wouldn't have considered otherwise.
Ultimately, how you perceive and respond to rejection will depend on your mindset and attitude. If you view rejection as a learning experience and an opportunity for growth, it can have positive effects on your life.

Self-sabotage is a common problem that many people face, and it can be particularly damaging when it happens in the workplace.
Did you know Self-sabotage can manifest in different ways at work, such as procrastination, perfectionism, fear of failure, lack of confidence, and negative self-talk. Here are some strategies that can help you overcome self-sabotage at work:
📍First step Identify your self-sabotaging behaviors: Take a moment to reflect on your actions and thoughts at work and identify any negative patterns that are hindering your progress.Once you know what the problem is, you can start to work on it.
📍Challenge your negative self-talk: Our inner voice can be our biggest enemy. When you hear negative self-talk, challenge it. Ask yourself, "What evidence do I have that this thought is true?" You'll likely find that your negative thoughts are unfounded and irrational.
📍Set realistic goals: Setting unrealistic goals can lead to feelings of failure and self-doubt. Break down larger goals into smaller, manageable steps to help you stay on track.
📍Celebrate your successes: Recognize and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small they may seem. This can help build your confidence
📍Prioritize self-care:prioritize activities that bring you joy and reduce stress, such as meditation or spending time with loved ones, hey I bought a plant and I water it and speak life into everyday. This brings me joy.

Dear Life Warriors, Dr. Varnado left her traditional career of almost 20 years in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2021 to address the broken healthcare system, which currently puts the most resources in treating symptoms, when it really needs to address the root cause of diseases. Through her years of practice, she has realized that many know what it takes to be healthy but outside of a support system their efforts rarely yield the desired outcome because their environments often reinforce poor habits. Her focus now is to help others achieve optimal mental and physical health by focusing on lifestyle based treatment, which she believes, could prevent and manage most ailments. This shift was born from starting her podcast in November 2020, Office Visits with Dr. V, where she not only educates women about their gynecologic health and how their bodies function but also about their overall health and wellness.
Dr. Varnado was born and raised North Carolina and has been living out a childhood dream of taking care of women of all ages as an Ob/Gyn. She is a proud graduate of Hampton University and The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. She completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, where she learned how to be an excellent surgeon and physician. Being a mother of two, having a marriage of 17 years, a supportive family and a strong relationship with God are keys to her success.
