  • Jesus Won
The journey continues for God's people as He meets their basic needs and guides them forward through the desert. While they have what they need, they are not thriving nor amassing power. They are not settling down, or building cities, or developing a powerful army. They are impoverished and vulnerable. And, once again, they face a hostile foe and another threat of death, as the Amalekites look on with a determination to whipe them out. Thankfully, God will come through for them yet again and will grant them victory through supernatural means. It is yet another pointer to the good news of the Gospel and the victory that Jesus secured for us on the cross. What the Amalakites were to the ancient Israelites in the natural world, sin is to God's people in the spiritual world, a threat of death. And as God came through for His people back then through His leaders, Moses and Joshua, God later came through for His people through His Son, the greater Moses and the greater Joshua. Jesus won the war we could never win. He paid for and conquered our sin. He redeemed us. We are free.

  • Jesus Loves Me This I Know
To love God supremely is the fundamental duty of man, as well as the foundation of true salvation, obedience, and Christian living. From John 15:9 and other scriptures, the Bible teaches that Christ loves His people as the Father loves Him, and He told us to "continue in his love." Real love is not merely emotion, religious zeal, loyalty, or words, but a life that gives itself to God in obedience and sacrifice. Love is not love unless it puts to death the selfish, self-centered heart, and esteems God and others more than ourselves. Do not be deceived by your emotional feelings toward God if you are living in disobedience to his Word. Love lives only in deeds, and the kind of love God commands from us is not feelings and emotion, but recognizing his greatness and goodness and laying down our lives for Him.

  • An Appointment You Will Keep
The sermon centers on the certainty of death and the subsequent judgment, drawing primarily from Hebrews 9:27-28 to emphasize that every individual faces a fixed, inescapable appointment with God. It explores four key realities: the immutability of one's death date, the singularity of the opportunity for salvation, the identity of God as the judge, and the peril of spiritual unpreparedness. The preacher contrasts the finality of divine judgment with the abundant mercy offered through Jesus Christ, who bore the sins of many to provide a path to righteousness. Urging immediate response, the message warns against presumption and calls listeners to place their faith in Christ alone for salvation before their appointed time arrives. Ultimately, it presents the gospel as a present offer of grace that prepares believers to stand confidently before God on that final day.

  • Jesus and His Brothers
This sermon expounds on Hebrews 2, focusing on Jesus Christ as the founder of salvation who bridges the gap between God and humanity. The preacher outlines three key aspects: God's aim to renew creation and bring many sons to glory, the accomplishment of this goal through Christ's predestined incarnation and sacrificial death, and the application of these truths for believers' eternal hope. By emphasizing Christ's role as a merciful high priest and pathfinder, the message assures listeners of their secure redemption and future inheritance in the new heavens and earth. The tone is pastoral and encouraging, urging the audience to fix their eyes on the celestial city while living as pilgrims in the present world.

  • Tabernacle Review Part 1
This message reviews the Tabernacle's curtains, coverings, boards, bars, and veils, showing how each points to the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The fine linen and its colours picture Christ's perfect humanity, heavenly origin, kingship, and sacrificial death, while the coverings portray Him as our sin-bearer whose glory was veiled in human flesh. The boards resting upon silver sockets illustrate the believer's security upon the firm foundation of Christ's redemption and atonement. Finally, the veil points directly to Christ: through His body being broken and His blood shed, the way into God's presence has been opened. In Christ, believers are covered, secure, redeemed, and given direct access to God.

  • Rescue from the Realm of Death
In Mark 5:25ff, we meet a woman who, for twelve years, suffered from a condition that drained her physically, financially, and socially. The law rendered her perpetually unclean, barring her from the temple and isolating her from community and family. Every physician had failed her. Every resource had been spent. Yet, when she heard reports of Jesus, hope arose within her heart. She pressed through a jostling, shoulder-to-shoulder crowd, stooped low, and stretched out her hand to touch the hem of Christ's robe. And immediately she was healed. It wasn't the touch of His garment that made her whole but the faith by which she reached out. She had been living in the realm of death but Jesus rescued her. Though she was unclean when she touched Jesus, He cannot be defiled. Whenever the unclean come into contact with Him, He bears their corruption away and imparts His purity to them. This miracle is a foreshadow the cross, where Christ takes upon Himself the sin of all the elect, absorbs the full wrath of God, and exchanges our defilement for his righteousness. The woman's story is our story, an invitation to press through every obstacle and lay hold of the one who alone can make us whole.

  • What it Took to Save the World
This sermon explores the profound depth of Christ's sacrifice as outlined in Philippians 2, focusing on what it took to save the world. The speaker highlights three key aspects of Jesus' work: His vicarious appropriation by becoming fully human, His gracious humiliation through servanthood and death on the cross, and His victorious propitiation that appeased God's wrath. Through vivid illustrations and theological exposition, the message emphasizes that Jesus voluntarily laid aside His glory to become a servant and substitute for sinners. The narrative concludes with the assurance of Christ's exaltation, demonstrating that His humility was the necessary path to redemption and future glory for believers.

Ultimately, the sermon calls for faith in the living Savior who remains faithful and present with His church.
