The Trojans are coming off a week where they extended their win streak to five games with a midweek defeat of Cal State Fullerton, but that streak was brought to a halt in Corvallis at the hands of Oregon State, who swept USC in three tightly contested games

A special guest joins the show as USC head coach Andy Stankiewicz comes on to talk about what went wrong at Goss Stadium and what he and his coaching staff must do to help the Trojans bounce back from a rough weekend. Stankiewicz also previews the upcoming rivalry series with UCLA and talks about his favorite rivalry moment from his playing days -- Yankees vs Red Sox on opening day.

Shotgun and Jack then recap the Trojans' week, which started with a 4-3 win over Cal State Fullerton in the midweek and then a weekend series at Oregon State where missed opportunities cost USC, especially in a 3-2 loss in 13 innings on Saturday.

The hosts then look at where the 20-13-1 Trojans stand in the Pac-12 standings and in the national RPI. They also discuss the upcoming week with the Trojans taking on CSUN at Dedeaux Field on Tuesday before hosting UCLA in Stankiewicz's first Crosstown Showdown series at Dedeaux.
