The Trojans are still without a defensive coordinator nearly one week after their final game, and there are no signs one will be named soon. Despite not having the staff completely assembled, USC has been active in the transfer portal and are starting to fill in at the positions of need. Plus some men's hoops news.

Segment 1.--I have three possible reasons why USC's next defensive coordinator is still at-large, including a financial reason as well as a couple of others that need to be discussed.

Segment 2.--Lincoln Riley and Chad Bowden have found a couple of needs in the transfer portal; USC now has an experienced WR and LB to go with their cornerback they previously picked up. Both are solid additions, however, did USC settle?

USC has an open defensive coordinator position to announce while at the same time, they need some defensive help from the transfer portal that just opened.

Segment 1.--I prepared a transfer portal shopping list for Chad Bowden and where he needs to spend the money.

Who will Lincoln Riley pick to be USC's next defensive coordinator now that D'Anton Lynn is going home to do the same at Penn St. where he played in college?

Segment 1.--I talk about the announcement that Lynn is leaving and start exploring possible names as his replacement. There is one name at the top of the hot board, however, that does not mean there is just one solution.

Segment 2.--Lincoln Riley was asked about the USC vs Notre Dame Rivalry during the head coaches press conference at the Alamo Bowl. This was the first chance for the media to bring up the issue and Coach Riley took the time to remind everyone about what Notre Dame said and what they ended up doing instead.

Segment 3.--USC's 2026 roster got a lot better when Elijah Paige resigned. I'll tell you who else is planning to re-sign with USC and where one Trojan might end up once the transfer portal opens on January 2nd.

The Trojan have one game left to be play and show some pride and prepare for the 2026 season when they take on TCU at the Alamo Bowl. I had a chance to speak with D'Anton Lynn, DeCarlos Nicholson, Christian Pierce, and Jide Abasiri during USC's defensive press conference in San Antonio, and I have the latest news and quotes leading up to the game.
