Deep Reactions with Catalyst

Recording of live set played 6 March 2016 at Dogglounge Internet Radio (http://dogglounge.com), during a live, afternoon rooftop party in Miami Beach. A bit more latin, and a bit more party than usual for me, because ... Miami!

It was Saturday afternoon (2018 May 19, and I didn't have any plans, nor did the station (http://dogglounge.com) have anybody playing live.

So I jumped on for an impromptu set. This was just some new tunes I've picked up & had fun with. I especially love the opener.

Update 2018 August 5: This turns out to be my most favorite of all the sets I've done in the last couple of months.

Recorded live on 17 January 2016 at Dogglounge ( http://dogglounge.com ). Set title comes from making sure I turned OFF the Sync button on the DJ software, and mixed "manually", lest I lose long-held skilz ;-)

A set focused around music of love, recorded live at http://dogglounge.com on Valentine's Day, 2016. Dedicated to my wife, Judy, whom I love. Keep supporting the station, and consier joining me in that chat room there during my Sunday afternoon sets. (Makes the DJ feel warm and fuzzy ;-)

Recorded live at http://dogglounge.com on 22 May 2016. Today was early summer; temperatures warm enough to be outside, and excellent while in the sun, but … out of the sun? Well, where’s that sun again?

Either way, the day felt like a taste of summer to come.

Recorded live at http://dogglounge.com on 19 July 2016. This was a "no prep" set. I had about 15 minutes to grab my laptop, find an opening track, and go. We can have a party "even if" I'm not prepared ;-)

I had A Big Mess Of Wires in my DJ setup, because I'd torn it down & put it together right before the set. Sadly, it meant I had the sound card setting on "Phono" (vs. Line) for the first 4 tunes, and there was all low-end, no high-end. Fortunately I figured the problem out, but remained a bit flustered for the rest of the set. A few other things went wrong. But, here ya go.

I'm not sure why I named this podcast this way. I did the mastering and artwork (which made me come up with a name), then forgot to upload the podcast. In the meantime, I've forgotten. I had just come back from Ibiza; though that doesn't make me remember anything (probably was instrumental in why I forgot...).

For this set I was using full-on pro gear: Pioneer CDJ-2000nexus and DJM-900nexus. Stuff the big boys play at every club. Sadly, this is about $5k of gear, and I don't own it, so I don't play on it as frequently as I need to to keep my skills sharp. Since I've got some dates coming up where I need to be on that gear, so I borrowed some to freshen up.
