Genesis 8 records the receding of the Flood waters and the Ark coming to rest on the mountains of Ararat.  God promised Noah that He was going to establish His covenant with him and thus the chapter begins with God "remembering" Noah.   God always keeps His promises.  He kept Noah, his family, and the animals safe during the horrific ordeal of the Flood.   When Noah finally leaves the Ark, he "remembers" the LORD and offers a tremendous sacrifice.

Genesis 7 records the worldwide catastrophic Flood in the days of Noah.   The details of Scripture indicate that this was no ordinary/local flood.   This was a universal Flood that destroyed the earth's population.   The only exceptions were Noah's family and the animals that the LORD brought to him to care for.  

In this exposition of Genesis 6 we look at the conditions of the world and reasons for The Flood.  We also discover that there was a notable exception to the prevailing immorality and his name was Noah.   Noah didn't earn grace, he "found" grace in the eyes of the LORD.  He is then given specific instructions for the construction of The Ark and the preservation of human and animal life.  

In today's episode, we look at the fascinating OT character from Genesis named Enoch.  Enoch lived in a dark period, prior to the Flood of Noah.  But we learn that Enoch "walked with God".   He was a shining light in an awful period of moral decay.   We see also that "He was not....for God took him".   Let's take a closer look at his hero of faith. 

In today's episode, we look at one of the more controversial passages in all of the Old Testament.   We will examine the Holy Scriptures to determine the events that led up to the catastrophic Flood in the Days of Noah.

Genesis chapter 3 shows us the root of sin.   Genesis 4 reveals to us the "fruit" of sin.   The book of Genesis is a book of firsts.   Today, we will look at the first human lie, the first murder, and the first polygamist in the scriptures.  But above all, we will discuss the "way" of Cain and why it leads to destruction rather than salvation.

In today's episode, we will look at what the Bible says about the ordinance of water baptism.  We will discuss what constitutes an ordinance, and how that ordinance should be administered. 

As we conclude our look at the Upper Room discourse,  Jesus tells these anxious 11 Apostles that it is expedient for them if He goes away.   His departure will ensure that the Holy Spirit will come and live in them and call out to the world to be saved. 

Peter writes his 2nd epistle to remind the believers that falls teachers will surface in the last days promoting the lie of uniformitarianism.   This is the idea that God has never intervened in history to judge sin.   He directs his readers back to Genesis and the worldwide Flood of Noah as an example of God's dealings with sin.  He reminds them also that the Lord will surely keep His promise to return!
