The recent Palisades and Altadena fires have a story to tell. You, and get this and take heed that God always gives us advance notice, cannot prepare for a disaster event, a personal trauma, emergency, or any other unforeseen events, during the event. The time of preparation is passed. Now it is response time, and in this time you depend on things to be in place that should have been discussed in the planning and preparation phase. Now obviously there have been many who don’t understand what it is to attend those meetings as when things are going well, some say or think, that there is no reason to get too worked up about this planning or preparation thing. Ha, yes and what has happened has happened and is the evidence that something is amiss. 

Want a biblical example? Look, had Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, been tossed into the fiery furnace unprepared to meet the potential outcome, they would have perished. Oh, but you might say, yes Podcast Preacher but they would have been with God in Heaven. And I say, in advance of their prescribed time to be there, yes they would have. And but what would the cost have been insofar as their ministry being unfulfilled? The cities people would not have gotten saved, the decree that there is only One God to be worshipped would not have gone out. Their promotions in order that they could continue the work of God, would not have happened, and instead, a small crew in total bewilderment of such an event would have been pulled together to clean out the furnace: let’s get heated up on the thing.

No I say, but he is dead, and but I am speaking from one of his sermons that is more than necessary even for our right now days. It has to be a God thing to know that after you die and go home to be with the Lord, that the messages that He has given you, live on past your time here on earth. I hope the same for my messages, but that privilege I leave up to the Lord. 

So today is going to be like a strong cup of coffee in that we are going to take the beans and grind them to a literal pulp, to a fine powder like flour, and then we are going to throw it into a pot of boiling water and leave it in there until all the coffeeness is boiled out of that fine powder. Then we're going to take it, put it in a cup, a tin cup is often good enough to help one enjoy this type of coffee, and we're then going to drink it, to which it will taste like silky water. 

But what I have just described is the Born-again experience, and like the bean that has to be completely and totally destroyed to extract its purpose, Jesus was the only one that could go through the process whereby salvation could be extracted. 

Is 52:13-14 - Behold, My Servant shall [b]deal prudently;
He shall be exalted and [c]extolled and be very high.
14 Just as many were astonished at you,
 So His visage[d] was marred more than any man,
And His form more than the sons of men;

But then in God's wisdom, his heart, his whole purpose for creating humanity, was that we could by choice, and the actions that we do which helps us to look exactly like his son Jesus Christ, it's like the drinking of silky water. And but this occurs only if you understand the value and privilege of being chased down by God Himself:

John 15:16 - 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

What is the math on this? Hummm, Well, ok so if you are the one day a week church goer then there is a reasonable probability that you attend church 15-hrs and 40-min of church per year. Now I will not go into the types of messages that you can expect to hear or that you do hear, as most are evangelistic in nature and less about your growing into the fullness of Christ. And so for impact or comparison we should but need to compare the typical American, oh and wait, that 15-hrs only counts if you attend every Sunday, even through Football, baseball, basketball, hockey, bowling, and fishing season. Ok so the disciples of Jesus spend quite a bit of time with Jesus learning and doing Christianity. We can expect they were with Him always as He told them to follow Him when He called them to well…follow Him. Ha, no but really I didn’t know how else to say that (Matt 4:19). So, without any intention of exaggeration, let’s assume they were with Him solid for about 3-yrs:

Luke 3:23 – Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,

Based on the number of Passover’s it is assumed that He ministered for about 3 to 3.5 years. We will use 3-yrs to you know to avoid any intention of exaggeration. I will start their days at 6:00am and let them go until about 11:00pm. Why because Jesus did many other things that are not written and included in the bible so we have to allot for time in order for the many other things right (John 20:30, 21:25)? We are also going to allow for 7-days a week of ministry because there were no unions at that time and, ha, no it is because He is Lord of the Sabbath and He did minister on the Sabbath as proven throughout the Word of God (Matt 12:8, 10, John 5:10).

What could your life be like if you were willing to change. No but let’s not do burnouts in the rain here. This is that! This is what makes all, all, yes every bit and all the difference between where you are at and where you could be. 

So now let’s fast forward to the end of your life for a minute. What would have had to happen for you to believe with everything in you that you have done what you were created to do. Yes, since this is a Podcast for the authentically born-again believer, you must know that you know that you know that God created you for a plan and for His purpose:

Ps 33:10-11 - The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations. 

He knows exactly how He gifted you, what talents you have, and how you are use them and where you are to apply your efforts.

Pro 19:21 - There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.

Pro 16:9 - A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. 

He is in control but only if we give it to Him right?

So with so many listeners I think it's time I help with some of the names that I use for the ministry. This won't take long but it will be helpful for the many many new listeners that I'm getting every day. We are now as of January 23, 2025 in 60 countries, and 362 cities. This is the data from just Buzzsprout one of 30 platforms. 

So Deep Waters is the name of the podcast. Buzzsprout is the primary platform, and it is one of 30 platforms. some of the more popular names, or platforms is my YouTube channel at podcast preacher, iHeartRadio, Pinterest, Twitter, linkedIn, Tumblr, Rumble and Vimeo. I have several of the more popular ones accessible through my website appliedstrengthsministry.org Deep Waters came to my sister and I, she is a member of the board, because she really thought that the messages or more complex than you would hear at a church today, and which is really designed to help a person grow which is the heartbeat of the ministry. I don’t preach for sugar in the ear but for what God wants people to hear.

So what is it to know an invisible God? And can we really say that He was or is invisible when He came down as a Man-God in the suit of Jesus? And to take it a step further can we say even if that was necessary, you know coming down as a Man-God for us to believe, when He manifested Himself so much in the bible? Look at the miracles, signs, and wonders that occurred in the Old Testament. I could write a book on them but that is not the point of this message. 

Have you heard that you can have a personal relationship with God? Have you heard that you can have a personal relationship with Jesus? Ha, how about this question. Do you know what it is to have a personal relationship with God? I mean you know that I know that God and Jesus are the same God, one in the flesh, that is that God hovered over Mary by way of His Holy Spirit, and planted Himself in her that He might enter into humanity, in order to allow us to know Him, but also that we would murder Him. Ha, how many messages are in just that statement? 

How do we have a relationship with God is the point of this message, and I hope that you will do everything in your power to understand all of the revelation that will be herewith in it. 

I have done messages on knowing God before, but as always, it seems as though I must do a revision so that well because I cannot find the other one to revise. But, and well no but, but, doing multiple messages on the same or near the same subject is like reading the bible over again. Unlike if you mine a 9-square foot of land for gold, and then go back and do it again, and then again, getting less and less gold, this is not so when you read your bible. In fact the opposite is true because when you first read it you get milk-level understanding or revelation, go again so many times and then you get bread-level understanding or revelation, and go again more times, yes more times than just one more time, and you get meat-level understanding. And each of these levels only increases as you allow the revelation to change and equip you. You must move for it to move. And well since we are hear for a minute, each level, milk, bread, meat has three levels within it, babies, young people, and then like me older people. Ha, no but that is just what I have found to make sense. And but again the time to move through each of these things is dependent on your humility and efforts to allow God to bring you along in your walk.

95% of those who consider themselves smart have no idea just how dumb they are if they indeed reject God. I am not sure if this number isn’t really 100%, but I was trying to be kind. 

Now statements like this only come off offensive or hurtful if this is true in your life. As always, we must identify the problem before we move to solve it. And well but Jesus made telling the truth a very famous thing because it set some free and it offended others. Not everyone will be in a position to hear or want to hear the truth. It’s just the way it is. I have many messages on these things so I won’t go into them here. 

Now so but I was one of those who did not want to hear about God for 33-yrs of my life. And but look at me now. I can’t stop telling as many people as I can about how silly I every was to not consider Him, considering the alternative answers to getting into heaven, as the One and only God who legitimately had the only plan and is the only One who Himself paved the only road leading to Salvation with His own blood.

I was thinking about this the other day which is that every child ever born on this planet believes in God. Why so then or how do we end up not believing in Him? Ha, other people in whom we think are smarter than us, talk us out of such fantasies, or perhaps, one or the other parent was abusive and all into sin no matter what and so you went the same way of that wayward parent or parents. Did you know that in every generation we literally have millions of kids who follow their parents sinful lifestyles and leave their belief in God for the things of the world:

Ex 34:7 - keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”

I am currently working on a message titled “Dumb Smart Or Smart Dumb Equals Dumb Anyway” and was nearly done with it, and then decided to take a little reading break to read a message given by a well known and very accurate prophet. It’s like my going to church and but hearing what I need in order to grow without having to leave my home. Something I would recommend that all of my listeners do, but well if you are listening then you are attending the same “services” that I am, bless God! So, in the spirit of flowing in the Holy Spirit we shift for a minute and get to the crash dummy message later. 

I am going to split the message into two parts because well it is a lot for us Christians to handle in one big gulp. And they are distinct enough that I really want to leave room for my input and commentary without having to worry about going into a five hour message. I am not even sure I would want to listen to me on my best day for that long. Ha, but now don’t ask anyone who may have had the pleasure of getting caught up in one of my never-ending messages going about a furlong deep. 

Nevertheless, this message like the next is very heavy meaning that because we are in such a shape as a church that we are in, getting any kind of mind and spirit breakthrough will be no less easier than it was for Christopher Columbus to try and convince the population of his days that the earth wasn’t flat. I believe that it is even safe to say it is the same spirit working in both of these situations. Ha, so much for hard and stingy, I haven’t even gotten into the message and it already sounds strong. Well but in truth, and keep in mind I am not preaching from Mars pointing my boney finger at anyone on earth as if I am far removed from the corrections of these messages. You have already heard me say that I teach you and me aways.

Ok its official, that there is the longest message title I have ever heard or prepared. Ha, ha, I’m going to have trout dinner. Ha, but this is funny as it is almost longer than the message.

Ok so this is going to be another great message, and you already know that I think that they are all great insofar as I allow God to speak through me. Ah, now don’t get all jibby jabby with that, and think I am telling you something that is only unique to me. You too can allow God to speak through your lips once you decide you would need to for that to happen. No worries it is a journey of much aching and pleading. Ha, what no Podcast Preacher I just want it to happen. Nope, God has to train to stop talking long enough for Him to get a word in edgewise, and folks because we are human, this takes a bit of a season. I cannot give you a specific length of time as that is between you and God, but trust me you will need to press to get there. And when you do, even more of the worldly appetites will go away. There is no feeling or experience to know that God just used you to help someone, and that you did it while speaking God-words to do so.

This message is not so much for my Podcaster’s who are authentically born-again, but is something that just dropped on me as an important message to pass along to the massive crowds of spiritually blind peeps. Yes, they are arrogant and proud of their God ignorance. So be it, they represent the white harvest and every generation has to deal with both the pond of potential or future wheat and tares.  

In a past message I gave an example of three circles as representing the places that humanity is at. Look at them like three unlimited in size barrels that hold humanity. We are all born into the 1st barrel which represents all sinners. And like it or not we are all born into sin. The second barrel represents the Bride Christians who get authentically saved. And well the third barrel of human fish represents the back-slidden Christians, those who rejected salvation having once been in barrel number two, and satans kids. Now the following scriptures may seem a bit doomy and gloomy but God gave them to us because He knows our make up in that we are just but dirt. 

The following scriptures identify those species of fish:

Pro 14:14 - The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, But a good man will be satisfied from above...
