Bass focus - this name represents exactly what our this month’s guest @lona_my stands for. From Drum and Bass to Dubstep, Bassmusic has a special place in her heart for nearly her whole life. Accordingly she started DJing three years ago and co-founded the eponymous crew @bassfocusleipzig. In times of lockdowns they have organized livestreams together that are focused on a balanced line-up to give Flinta*DJs more attention than before.

In her selection for this Podcast she focused on deep Dubstep tracks with varied harmonies. A wonderful mix - something between hood or summer hat. So big thanks to @lona_my from Leipzig!

Today we invite you to join this musical ride through different genres. Behind the wheel you can find Yin Yang Audio - a producer and also selfcalled conjurer of bass music. We would definitely underline this, because he adroitly takes different elements of many genres and combines them to a deep and big sound. So it comes with no surprise that he curates Descent, an event night in Houston which showcases the darker and more experimental sound of electronic music. With his releases on Onset Audio, Kornarion, Syhda Music, or Diffuse Reality, as with his whole music, he tries to produce something special, something that words are not enough to describe.

The next podcast episode is contributed by the musician k.o straight outta Poland. She is involved in the projects DrumObsession and Dungeonbeats, frequently throwing events in Poland and celebrating the music we appreciate. Her musical output ranges from almost all deep subgenres of dnb, uk beats, garage, dubstep… Well, she represents a high consciousness for the music with that certain kind of feeling. Big up k.o. & thanks for your lovely arranged musical journey.

In these worrisome & dark times we want to send you a pain reliever to stay strong. Therefore we invited @djibu600. He started his musical career in his hometown Rostock, where he bought his first Innervisions and Life and Death vinyls. With a record bag and two turntables in his luggage he moved to Dresden, founded his crew @otterworld and started Radio Sabor with his friend @ dario-de-la-rosa. They also released their first track two month ago.

His atmospheric ambient mix helps to switch off our heads and transforms them into DJ IBU 600s prepared world. A guaranteed break for our aching hearts. His name says it all. Exactly what we need today. Stay strong!

[dpr_xs_podcast_116_paracusia]

Also brace yourself for his new music project coming soon. We are ready & very excited for that. But now close your eyes and enjoy listening - maybe you’ll adumbrate a little paranormal activity.

Our last guest mix for this year comes from a local vinyl digger and truly versatile selector who chose to go by the name of our local public transport company. DJ DVB was born in Tenerife and is now settled in Dresden (Germany) where he paints the city red with his own chosen family the Miami Weißeritz Crew. From this home base he is spreading his music all over Germany from “Miami Dahlen” over “La Dolce Döbern” to the “Promenadendeck” in Berlin. With his seemingly endless musical facets he has also won the DAVE-Festival DJ-Contest in 2020 and is since then a well-known and vivid part of our local scene. Have a good trip with DJ DVB and his unbent vibes.
