Welcome to Deeper Discussions Season 1, Episode 10! In our first episode of 2025, we’re throwing it back to the very start of the podcast where we sat down to chat about our experiences growing up in Milton Keynes. 🏙️

Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animals!! We're late with this weeks release but finally WE HERE! The trio is back on set with some festive vibes for a special extended Christmas episode.

In this holiday edition of the Deeper Discussions podcast, we touch on the origins of Christmas, films, dinners, the ways we celebrate, and how our Christmases differ. But in true DD fashion it’s not all about the season we are still out here doing what friends do, asking questions, talking the talks and getting into our thoughts on the deeper topics of the world.

Is a lodge a good second date? Is it sending the wrong message? What can you do on that kind of date that ISN'T sex. How often do men and women think about sex, what triggers it and how anti-depressants impact libido. It gets heated as we get into our opposing thoughts and opinions on the importance of having an open dialogue with our children and educating them on sex, our natural bodily functions, hormones and behaviours so that they can come to us about the things they are experiencing and NOT seeking answers and taking direction from the world we live in. We discuss our stance and experiences with taking substances.

Lloyd shares his experience of experimenting with mushrooms to test the psychological effects from a mental health aspect. Glen discusses his fear of taking hard drugs, a time he accidentally took MDMA and his intrigue with DMT. Deegz gives an honest incite into the dark and come down aspect of taking cocaine and the difficulty in trying to break away from those habits as well as her concerns for people taking substances from the streets and the mental toll for users particularly in the aftermath.

LP speaks on his week with The Man Cave, a proud vulnerable moment where he actually cried in front of 50/60 people whilst speaking for International Mens Day and we see the impact of showing our emotions, the strength we have in vulnerability and that MANDEM...it's good and healthy to cry!! When we aren't ashamed to show our more vulnerable sides we show others that it is okay for them too!

Bottom line is be authentic, transparent and know your WORTH! Stand up and be vocal about what is RIGHT and be the change you want to see in the world. If employers, friends, family, community groups or organisations actions don't align, if they're giving lip service but no real change or understanding then feel free to take the necessary steps to protect your peace - however that may look for you.
