God spoke this Word to the people of Israel LONG AGO concerning their Babylonian captivity and the promise of their safe return to their homeland…..but there’s also application in it TODAY for the modern church.

See the problem with people having a “party all the time” sensibility is that they never think about WHEN THE PARTY WILL STOP, because they’re too busy living for the good times. So they end up ill-equipped to handle things when the time comes for the FUN and partying to end.

Friends…fatherlessness is a huge crisis in our world, and if we’re really being honest, just about every deep-seeded societal issue we face is rooted in the systemic problem of fatherlessness.

The numbers bear this out – for example, more than 18.4 million children in America live without a biological father, a stepfather or an adoptive father in their home, and we’re seeing the effects of this reverberate throughout the rest of society, because research FURTHER shows that fatherless children are more likely to live in poverty, suffer from a mental issues or engage in antisocial behavior, and more prone to have problems at school.
