Big John (@itsbigjohn1) was back in Bondi so we had to get him back on the podcast for a chat as our first returning guest.

Big John and his professional heavyweight boxer son Johnny Fisher came on the podcast for a chat back in March (episode #11 if you want to go back and listen) and it's fair to say a lot has happened for both over the past 8 months.

In this episode we talk about Big John embracing life in the famous Bondi bubble, Johnny's boxing career including the build up to fight on the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk undercard in December and how John deals with the ugly side of social media.

Bondi Beach Babes is a woman's community group that was founded in the aftermath of the COVID-19 lockdowns with the aim of ensuring women feel safe and stay connected from a social perspective. It has grown significantly over the past few years and current has 21k members.

Amy shares her own story of feeling isolated and alone during the lockdowns which seriously impacted her mental health. Conscious that other women might be feeling the same, she founded the group and has been running it ever since.

The pair also talk in detail about about IVF treatment which Amy is currently undergoing.

The guest on this episode is Bondi local Govind Sandhu. As a crossfitter and ultramarathon runner, Gov was in the best physical condition of his life when he was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (an aggressive blood cancer) earlier this year at the age of 38.

In this episode Chris and Gov talk about Gov's initial symptoms, the ordeal Gov went through just to get a diagnosis and the realities of dealing with cancer in your 30s.

Chris chats with Dom Sheppard (@domsheppard) ahead of Dom flying to France compete in the HYROX World Championships. Dom qualified for the World Championships by winning the HYROX Men's Open in Melbourne in August 2023 with a time of 1:01:06.

The pair talk about Dom's experience winning the Men's Open last year, training preparation ahead of the World Champs and Dom's top tips for anyone competing in HYROX this year.

Dom is also competing in Ironman 70.3 in Cairns 8 days after the HYROX World Championships. Dom will be pushing his body to the limit across both events and is raising money for mental health charity Beyond Blue.
