What do clouds sound like? For 3024's first release of 2023, we are super proud to present an exploration of that question by the amazing Italian-Ivorian producer Ehua on her new EP.

"Clouds EP" consists of four sonically and energetically varied tracks inspired by the paradoxical nature of these mood-shifting objects, suspended in space. They can be heavy or light, menacing or comforting, distraught or at ease. They are still but in motion, they can cause fear and confusion or give you strength, awareness and empowerment. Ehua's music combines live handmade percussion and flutes (the ancient Duduk on Nefele and recorder on Vola) with fierce drum programming and synth work. This is music for the mind and the 'floor! For the first release of 2023, @kindergartenrecords is thrilled to welcome to the label one of the most exciting young producers around. @tomsobolikmusic’s cuts on early reflex, Cloudcore, Woozy, and Martyn’s 3024 label gathered widespread respect in a short time. Kin Teal is an alias of Budapest based producer Balint Haller, making organic and tactile music that’s rooted in club culture. Kin Teal is a new project, meant to express the contrast and connection between nature and humanity, and juxtapose natural textures with machine-made ones. There’s also a strong visual identity attached to the music, as a result of Balint’s interest in creative coding and emulating natural processes through code.

January 2023 sees the launch of 'Steppers Globe’, a 4-week period of releases to showcase overseas UK Garage artists and display their talent on the main stage. The project consists of 4 EPs (to be released one per week in January), each of which are crossover releases with overseas labels pushing the UK-Garage sound.

SPRAYBOX (Japan) was founded by Tokyo based producers Genick,

Jacotanu, Nizikawa, and Oblongar in November 2021. Their sole purpose

was to support Japanese dance producers, whose music draws a direct

influence from UK Bass sub genres.

Stepping up for MANT004 is the one and only Ian DPM. This EP continues an impressive string of releases for him, including on his own imprints Scuffed Recordings and Definite Party Material, all exploring the edges of club music with tunes belonging slap bang in the middle of the dancefloor.

Proceedings start with an evening service, except the gospel choir have forgotten the keys to the church and instead take themselves and their organ down to the club for some heavenly amen breaks. The rest of the EP remains firmly on the dancefloor, but the club itself is launched into another dimension, powered by overcharged acid and off-kilter percussion riding over weighty, no-nonsense basslines.
