It’s the first of our Halloween-themed episodes and we are kicking things off with dark fairytale Pumpkinhead, we also get into the season by enjoying with Great Lakes Brewery’s Pumpkin Ale(not sponsored)! Directed by Stan Winston and starring Lance Henriksen, Cynthia Bain, Brian Bremer & Mushroom the dog, based on a poem by Ed Justin this underrated gem is a fully saturated trip and we love it!

It’s our Shot-on-Video episode! Today we’re talking about three super low-budget 80’s horror movies. First up, we’ve got 1986’s Terror at Tenkiller starring Stacey Logan and Michelle Merchant, this movie is about two friends spending their summer at a lake house when they’re pursued by both a killer and a douchebag ex-bf. Everybody talks very bizarrely. Second, and probably the lowest budget of the three with a light sprinkling of homophobia and misogyny we’re talking about 1987 slasher Blood Lake starring Doug Barry & Angela Darter a group of teens are stalked by a mysterious, cowboy-booted killer while at a cottage and finally we talk 1989 Ozploitation film Houseboat Horror, a lacklustre Friday the 13th rip off with way too many characters and too much going on.

In today’s episode we are talking an amazing example of the slasher genre and Tom Savini tour de force The Prowler. Directed by Joseph Zito, starring Vicky Dawson and possibly funded by mafia money, this is one heck of a fun movie! We talk about some of this week’s new horror trailers, chat the movie and then Christopher talks about its weird path to production and possible mafia ties.

It’s Friday and we’re having a whale of a time talking about 1977’s ORCA! Charlotte Rampling, Richard Harris, Will Sampson and Bo Derek star in this Jaws knock-off about an Orca seeking revenge against a Captain and his crew who killed his lady. It’s much more style than substance, but has one hell of a credits song. We also talk(spoiler free) about two new movies we watched this week, Puppetmaster: The Littlest Reich and Summer of ’84!

The dogs are barking and Ginger is snapping in this week’s episode! We’re talking homegrown werewolf-body-horror gem GINGER SNAPS starring Emily Perkins, Katharine Isabelle, Mimi Rogers & Kris Lemche. Mitch gives a brief review of Sick House by Jeff Strand, we combat (oddly appropriate) upstairs dogs being loud, discuss the movie and Christopher talks about the troubled production!

It’s Episode 26 and we’re going all the way… back to 2000 and talking about Geoffrey Wright’s Cherry Falls starring Brittany Murphy, Gabriel Mann & Michael Biehn. We talk about two sci-fi horror flicks we watched this week that were very bad & then we jump into Cherry Falls. It’s a toe-biting, eyelash curling, cherry popping good time that suffered from a lot of cuts & production drama. Class Dismissed!

In this week’s episode we are talking about 1987 owl-headed slasher/opera gem StageFright aka Deliria aka Bloody Bird aka Aquarius aka Sound Stage Massacre directed by Michele Soavi and starring Barbara Cupisti, Mary Sellers & David Brandon. It’s a good one with a whole lot of names! As always we find out how it Jamie Lee’s, talk a little bit about the production and deal with loud neighbour dogs.

This week we’re talking aliens again(kinda…brain slug, zombie aliens anyway) with Fred Dekker’s masterwork NIGHT OF THE CREEPS starring Jason Lively, Tom Atkins & Jill Whitlow! This week we’re dipping into the sci-fi and talking about FIRE IN THE SKY, it’s a pretty uneventful movie but has some of the best alien sequences we can think of! We talk about Mitch’s alien phobia and what doesn’t help is the brief, weird audio problems we have (around 0:15:00 to 0:30:00)! We finish off with Christopher telling the “true” story of Travis Walton that the film is based on.
