  • Episode 39: Switching Gears - Miko Hytonen

On this episode of the Degen BJJ Podcast the lads are joined by Miko Hytonen. Miko - often known by the online alias chokes & more - is a BJJ black belt under Santeri Lilius who trains and coaches out of the Scramble Academy in Malaga. Miko shares his introduction to BJJ, various anecdotes from his progression from white to black belt and some details on how he built his social media following. In addition to the interview, Ken eagerly counts down the last few weeks until knee surgery. Mike recaps his recent visit to Malaga, where he met Miko and somehow convinced him to come on this week’s podcast.

  • Episode 38: CJI & [Redacted]
    Episode 37: CJI & [Redacted]
This week on the Degen BJJ Podcast, Andrew Quinn AKA The Limerick Globetrotter returns to the show to help the lads recap the inaugural CJI event and [redacted] worlds. The trio review the good, the bad and the ugly of the “biggest weekend in grappling” and what might be next for the sport at the top level. In addition to the debrief there's a smattering of reddit rumours and some potential slander.
NOTE: Any beeping heard throughout the episode is definitely a sabotage attempt and not due to the lads’ incompetence.
