Dehydration and Anxiety

In today's episode we're talking about dehydration. A dehydrated state promotes a stress response in the body, decreasing insulin sensitivity meaning it is hard for cells to use sugar as an energy source, this cycles back and creates more stress and more ticked off cells because they can’t perform the tasks they want and need to perform at the capacity they desire.

When cells are stressed because of dehydration cortisol goes up and most of us know what happens when cortisol is consistently elevated as compared to when it is going through its normal rhythm of being high in the morning and low at night.
