In today's episode #280 we talk about how authors can make people laugh and cry because they tell stories that touch hearts with their words so why not do it with their voice?
Audio is so much more intimate, especially when you’re authentic and honest. Your listeners get a feel for who you are and what you’re like. You can bond and connect with them, which will make them care more about your art.
It’s like sitting down to coffee with them one-on-one. And now more than ever, many authors are doing it and it’s more than just Audiobooks.
Podcasting can help you become more of an authority in your space. You can also create goodwill by offering free, valuable information, and your listeners can more easily be converted to customers because they will become like friends.
The great part about this type of podcast is you don’t have to spend as much time creating content. It’s already been done. You just need to take it and re-package using your own voice.

In this episode # 279 of the Delaware Blogger Podcast we are discussing the benefits of batch recording podcast episodes.
Along with last week’s Gift of Gab show, and this being the holiday season and I am sure that if you are a baker you have begun baking a few batches of muffins, cookies or cupcakes, but if not, you soon will be and you will definitely be baking more than one or two of each; you will probably be baking a batch - so think of creating multiple podcast shows as batching episodes as there are plenty of benefits in doing so.
If you’re planning on releasing a podcast episode every week you’ll need to have a 4-week plan in place. Consistency is key and vitally important in podcasting especially if you want your show to be a successful.
Batch recording is an easy way to get and stay on top of your schedule so you don't freak out every time a new release date rolls around.
Listen to this entire episode to learn more about what is batch recording as well as it's benefits and how to it confidently.

Hello and welcome to episode #278 of the Delaware Blogger Podcast, heard here every Saturday at 10 am.
As we approach the holiday season I think it's a good time to talk about gifts not holiday gifts but the "gift of gab".
We all know someone, ourselves included that loves to talk, we choose a topic that we love to talk about and then it seems to be non-stop! Guess what? That's perfect especially if you want to be a Podcast host.
Podcasting is simply talking about things that interest you, things that you feel that you may be an expert in. Things that may be of help to others, yes the gift of gab is so important when it comes to podcasting.
Whether you're an entrepreneur, solopreneur or a side hustler...even moms, dads, aunties, uncles, a bae or a boo... anyone can record a podcast. Think about the topic, something that you want to talk about constantly, something that you can help others with or it can be entertaining, educational, inspirational or even motivational messages.
I know each week when I'm on the mic talking with people in Delaware on Out & About with Antionette Podcast I love that style, but I also love it even more when I come here on Saturday mornings to give you podcasting pointers and before that it was blogging tips.
Remember, "Do what you love love what you do and success is inevitable."
Many of us like to talk but before you pick up that mic or grab that smartphone think about what you want to talk about because you have to love your topic.
It's your passion project that's going to set you apart from everyone else and make you successful. People will recognize when you truly care about something, so if you care, others will as well.
Listen to this entire episode for more tips that will help you unwrap the "gift of gab" in becoming a successful podcaster.

Hello, and welcome to episode # 277 of the Delaware Blogger Podcast.
Today topic, “Podcast Horror Stories” we will be talking about podcast horror stories...not a podcast about horror stories, but the horrors that can occur while podcasting - the scary mic mishaps with long music or ghoulish guests who try to hijack your show as well as some spooky sounds that can wreck the flow of your show.
Before we begin, I want to thank everyone who has been supporting the Delaware Blogger Podcast by listening and sharing the show since I started in 2017, but didn’t get serious until 2020, but I'm going into 2022 stronger than ever so stay tuned if you have not subscribed make sure that you do and that you are also the DelBlogger blog and check out all my platforms on Linktree using the ID DelBlogger.

Hello and welcome to episode 276 of the Delaware Blogger Podcast. Did you know that more and more Americans are listening to podcasts each and everyday?
If you have a podcast, you are probably promoting your show on social media or in a Newsletter to get in front of new listeners and keeping your current ones advised, but you want more promotion.
I am not sure if you heard, but Facebook might be changing its name...along with that, what else will Facebook be changing...perhaps even your ability to connect with your audience?
Remember what I said, about building your business on a FREE platform - don’t do it! Repurposing podcast content is vital and the best ways in which to do so is via a blog..
One of the most important benefits of repurposing podcast content is for audience growth and retention, the other values include:

Fear Fear Get Outta Here - What Fear is Stopping You From Starting a Podcast?
“"Have no fear of perfection--you'll never reach it." --Salvador Dali
I have the opportunity to be a speaker in the Clubhouse Room “Fear, Faith and Fun, Discover Your Voice While Podcasting, hosted by Demia Avery one of the Leaders of ClubPod.
Each week we talk about how fear can keep someone from starting a podcast and I always want to scream, “fear fear get outta here” because we all have a voice, a vision and a mission, and if we step out on faith to share it the fear will disappear.
So in this episode #275, of the Delaware Blogger Podcast, I am asking the question, "what fear is stopping you from starting a podcast?
1. Fear of being an imposter (imposter syndrome)?
2. Fear of failure?
3. Fear of trying something new?
4. Fear of breaking a comfortable routine?
5. Fear that podcasting will be too time-consuming?
6. Fear that it’s too expensive to begin?
7. Fear that you won't be able to monetize your podcast?
Take a listen to this episode as I unpack each of these fears and what you could or should do to overcome them.

"Each of us must confront our own fears, must come face to face with them. How we handle our fears will determine where we go with the rest of our lives. To experience adventure or to be limited by the fear of it." --Judy Blume
Today’s episode “What’s Stopping You From Starting a Podcast?”
Is it FEAR or False Evidence Appearing Real? It’s okay to be afraid as most of us who started podcasting did it scared, but don’t allow FEAR or False Evidence Appearing Real or Imposter Syndrome stop you from starting.
Perhaps you feel that you are going too fast. If you don’t want to be overwhelmed, try doing a bi-monthly show, every other week as opposed to a weekly show.
Do you hate the sound of your voice? Most of us do and those tiny imperfections can seem bigger than they are. You are probably your own worse critic so practice, practice, progress because the more you record, the better you will become.
Are you afraid of Tech? Do you remember how intimidating it was to use a mobile device, a Blackberry or even your first Smartphone? If so, with practice and patience you got more comfortable. That is how it will be when you start podcasting, however, perhaps working with a Coach, such as myself will help you get over the fear of tech.
Lastly, working solo, does the thought of not having someone to work with or be accountable to seem lonely? Then why not join a community of podcasters or a group on Facebook or LinkedIn. Sharing with others in the same boat may provide the lifeline that you need to keep going and from feeling so lonely. Remember, once you start building an audience you will have a whole new circle to connect with.

“Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day.”
Quote by Sally Koch
Podcasting for Personal Development - Eps. #271 Delaware Blogger Podcast
What has life taught you about marriage, divorce, raising children, housekeeping, pain, suffering, or illness?
How about military service, education, shopping, traveling or starting a business.
How many times do you wish that you could just talk... and talk uninterrupted to someone, anyone who needs your advice and would benefit from it?
“Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day.”
Perhaps you wished there was someone who could be helped by sharing their experiences or expertise?
Have you thought about starting a podcast so that you can share your story of personal development...sharing a heartbreak...sharing your experiences can help someone who in turn might be able to help someone else.
Don’t fall into the Imposter Syndrome Trap either!
Using the gift of your voice….no cost...no obligation, just a tissue and a mic...talking to others who have in their earbuds or headphones.
