Eps. #338, Unlocking The Power of AI for Your Podcast
It may seem like we are talking a lot about AI and Chat GPT but Artificial Intelligence isn’t new, we’ve been talking to Alexa and Siri for many many years. However since 2022 there has been an uptick and more interest in AI, including CHATGPT as content creators are really using it.
We are loving it but it’s not without controversy, did you know that there are currently copyright lawsuits with regards to plagiarism but AI is just a tool, another tool to be added to your marketing toolkit, and like with any tool, you have to use it in a way that works best for you. You wouldn’t use a butter knife as a screwdriver would you??
But once again, you can literally use AI to power up your podcast as long as it's done with caution and consideration, and so, that's what I talked about in this episode.

Are you a boomer looking to get into the world of podcasts? If so, you’re not alone! Podcasts are becoming increasingly popular among all age groups, and boomers are no exception. With so many podcasts out there, it can be overwhelming to know where to start.
As the Baby Boomer generation continues to age, we are becoming increasingly tech-savvy and are embracing new technologies. One of the most popular new technologies is podcasting, which is quickly becoming a powerful tool for Boomers and beyond.
Podcasts are audio recordings that can be downloaded and listened to on a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and computers. They are typically hosted by one or more people and can cover a wide range of topics, from news and politics to health and wellness.
For Boomers and beyond, podcasts offer a unique opportunity to stay informed and engaged with the world around us. We can listen to podcasts on our own schedule, and can easily pause and restart if we need to. Podcasts also provide a great way to stay connected with friends and family, as many podcasts feature interviews with interesting people from all walks of life. There are even game show podcasts, including Jeopardy.
Podcasts also offer a great way to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and topics. Many podcasts feature interviews with experts in various fields, giving listeners the chance to learn from the best. Podcasts can also be a great source of entertainment, with many podcasts featuring comedy, music, and other forms of entertainment.

"Why Boomers Should Tune In to Podcasts: Unlocking a New World of Entertainment and Education"
The other day my husband’s aunt called and asked my husband how I was using my podcast to talk to the dead?
Huh…I don’t use my podcast as a medium to reach the other side - I do however, use my podcast as a medium to leave a legacy.
However, after a few minutes later, a lightbulb moment hit.
She had only read the promo of last Saturday’s podcast show but didn’t listen to #333 o it to hear that I was encouraging families to start a podcast now while we are alive so that later we can hear the voices of our loved ones, similar story of the NFL player who keeps his mother’s cell phone service active so that he can call and hear her voicemail greeting and leave her messages as she passed away, but it gives him comfort to hear her voice as it did for me when I would listen to the tape recorded greeting when I called my sister’s answering machine after she was killed in a car accident in 1992.
So in today’s episode of the Delaware Blogger Podcast I am sharing why Boomers Should Tune In to Podcasts: Unlocking a New World of Entertainment and Education.

Have you ever wanted to give up and throw in the towel because your download numbers weren't where you wanted them to be. You didn't feel like you were reaching your target market audience?
Well don't!
Perseverance in Podcasting Pays Off and I am a living testimony. I started my first podcast in 2017, free on Anchor FM, was "discovered" and became a host of my own show,; I traveled to Long Island, NY to record.
I moved on and started several others shows including "Out & About with Antionette", however, even with small downloads I was recently offered to host a new show and get paid to do so!
So don't give up or give in and remember to always, "do what you love and love what you do and success is inevitable"

What is your favorite type of music? I love R&B and as a matter of fact there's an R&R concert tonight at The Grand featuring the Spinners, the Manhattans and the Legendary Intruders.
Welcome to episode 331 of the Delaware Blogger Podcast, a weekly show that provides podcasting pointers for new and veteran podcasters.
Today I want to talk about the pros and cons of using music in a podcast and if you’re thinking about adding music to your podcast, today's episode is for you.
Music can be a great way to set the tone for your podcast and make it more engaging for your listeners. But with so many options out there, it can be hard to know where to start.
First, you’ll want to decide what type of music you’re looking for. Do you want something upbeat and energetic, or something more mellow and calming?
.Do you want something that’s in the same genre as your podcast, or something completely different? Once you’ve narrowed down your options, you can start looking for the perfect track.
Just like in last week's episode where I talked about narrowing your niche, you need to narrow down your choices of music.
Take a listen to this full episode on the pros and cons of podcast music, as well as sites to get Royalty Free Music and the three areas within a podcast to use it.

Have you ever had an opportunity to talk to 9 groups of 6th, 7th and 8th graders in 10 minute blocks about podcasting and narrowing their niche?
Well, that’s exactly what I did recently at Gateway Charter School for their 2023 Career Day. It was an experience that was exhausting but enjoyable.
So if you are thinking about starting a podcast and haven't narrowed your niche or are still thinking about your topic, one that you will be talking about week after week, month after month and year after year, here are a few topics to get you started thinking about and remember to narrow the niche to appeal to a smaller, yet more loyal listening base.
There are many other topics that I am sure you are passionate about, however, no matter which you choose, make sure to narrow it down to reach a targeted audience.
You want to find a base of loyal listeners that will tune in week after week, month after month and year after year just as you do with the Delaware Blogger Podcast.
Thank you again for listening to today’s podcast episode #330, Narrow Your Niche, and if I have said anything that is of interest to you, please share the link with others and make sure to leave a review on your podcast platform of choice.
