Season's greetings and season's finale! It's the final episode before a break! If Wonder Woman 1984 can be released on Christmas in that other universe, then this Black Adam episode can be released on Christmas as well! Joining me once again to discuss this DCEU film starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the main character is Mr. Multiverse. How well does The Rock portray the titular villain? How dark does it get? What hints toward the future does it provide? Listen to our thoughts! Season 3 of Delayed Replay will premiere sometime in early 2022!
Show Notes:

7:10 - DC Showcase was the name of the collection.
14:30 - That's Not How This Works!

It's finally here (in our universe anyway). The long-awaited and, to some, forgotten about sequel to James Cameron's Avatar. Greg joins me once again as we talk about the wait, the water, the music, and more! Plus, I do very quick Morty Smith and Peter Griffin impressions!

Jake Damon is back. Last time, he talked with me about a Pixar movie, but now we're talking about a DreamWorks movie. It's The Bad Guys, released September 17, 2021. Based on a children's book series, this is a film we both watched without familiarity with the source material. What did we think of the animation style? What about the voice acting? What other films does it remind us of? Listen and find out!

Who better to talk to about D&D than D&D&D (@dancing_dinos.delirium on Instagram)? Hayley and I discuss the new Dungeons & Dragons movie that came out in November. Is it any better than the previous films? Does it honor the spirit of the game? Is the game even filmable? All this and bits of reminiscing about our personal experiences with D&D! Happy D&Dcember!
Show Notes:
3:45 - Check out Critical Role.
4:10 - Check out the Wonder Woman 1984 episode. Also the Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City episode. I can't remember the timestamp where I alluded to it.
21:45 - Regé-Jean Page's Wikipedia article.

Also, check out Hello from the Magic Tavern. The premise tells you everything you need to know to check it out. Also has a spinoff called Offices & Bosses. It's exactly what you think.

In summer 2011, this podcast's universe saw the release of the classic Pixar film Newt. Hayley joins me for the first time since the Free Guy episode to talk about the journey of these two blue-footed newts who are the last of their kind. How does it compare to films with a similar premise? How's the chemistry between the characters? What message does the film convey? Listen and find out!
Show Notes:

The number 2 in the title is kinda scary, given that I'm so used to Roman numerals with Star Wars titles. Compared to season 1, I haven't cared much about the episode numbering, but it dawned on me while editing that the season and episode numbers are fitting, given that the topic is Star Wars Holiday Special 2, and it came out exactly 43 years after the first one. I'm joined by Jesse Bennett from the podcast Question/Possible Answer to talk about how this Disney+ special handles in-universe and out-of-universe stuff, the funny references it makes, the musical numbers, and more!
Show Notes:
-Tom Ellis, who starred as the titular character in Lucifer, was born the same day that the original Star Wars Holiday Special aired. Could there be a correlation?
5:00 - Tangents with Friends episodes on the original Star Wars Holiday Special (parts 1 and 2).
12:00 - Check out last week's episode on The Mandalorian: An Original Novel.
18:30 - This pre-dates Galaxy's Edge and is therefore not the recipe for what they have there, but here's a recipe for blue milk at this article on StarWars.com
21:00 - Here's that Brendan Fraser and Keanu Reeves meme.
29:00 - Paul Rudd "Mac and Me" on Conan SUPERCUT
45:30 - Christmas in the Stars on YouTube
47:30 - I know Home Alone 3 came out in theaters, but it feels so much like a TV movie to me.

55:30 - Star Wars Theme - Disco Version
55:45 - Natalie's Rap 2 - SNL

For the first time in a while, I talk about a Star Wars novel with Starrapter. This time, it's The Mandalorian: An Original Novel, released December 1, 2020 in our universe. How well does it work as an origin story? What did we think of the connections to other aspects of the franchise? We have spoken, so give us a listen! This is the way!
Show Notes:
2:00 - Check out the season 1 episodes on The High Republic books Light of the Jedi, A Test of Courage, and Into the Dark.
4:00 - The spiders idea had also been previously recycled for Star Wars Rebels episode "The Mystery of Chopper Base."

This is the end. Not of the podcast, but of the Halloween franchise. (Maybe.) On this episode, I'm joined again by Mr. Multiverse as well as Fandom Empire's Shawn Geroux to talk about Halloween Ends, which kinda feels like it could be a follow-up to the Halloween Kills of that other universe as well as the one from this podcast's universe. (The other me said Halloween Kills was "meh." Also check out the Halloween Kills episode from last year.) We go over the kills, how it handles trauma, and how it concludes the trilogy. Happy Halloween Eve, Halloween itself, and everything else that comes after!
Show Notes:
10:35 - Mr. Multiverse was referring to Paul Engemann's "Push It To The Limit," which was in Scarface, apparently.

Much to our surprise, Marco and I went to an escape room challenge in which we were tricked into watching Escape Room 3D. Sony was just that desperate to have us watch the rushed third movie after Escape Room 2 didn't do so well last year. (In that other universe, the second one was titled Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, which should've been 2rnament of Champions if you ask me. My other self said it was just okay and the puzle solving was too quick.) Anyway, listen to us recount the experience of watching the third movie in all its cheesy 3D glory and clues that were supposed to help us "solve" the escape room challenge.
